Elon Musk ‘Very Vulnerable to Blackmail of Chinese Communist Party,’ Ex-Trump Adviser Peter Navarro Claims

Former Trump White House trade adviser Peter Navarro has claimed that Elon Musk is “very vulnerable to the blackmail of the Chinese Communist Party.”

While some feel that tech mogul Musk’s recent move to buy Twitter outright is a sign that the restoration of free speech could return to the platform, to others, Musk is a threat to the Left’s control of the Internet.

Speaking at a TED event in Vancouver, Canada, on Thursday, Musk said that the reason he’s attempting to buy Twitter is not to make money but to reduce the “civilizational risk” censorship poses to democracy and freedom and to remove restrictions to free speech.

“I don’t trust Elon Musk,” Navarro told The Epoch Times.

“I don’t trust him because he made a deal with the communist Chinese devil to produce his Tesla cars there.

Perhaps if you believe a Communist country is capable of being an ethical, reliable business partner who will continue to share your expectations while you let them hold the assets of the partnership.

China is simply not a big enough factor in Musk's businesses to have coercive power over him. Tesla and SpaceX are not Disney, Marvel or Nike.

He certainly has used the vast powers of the state in China, to help build and develop his products. Via Chinese control and support. As per the sop for US companies, they usually bash America, but leave China alone. Musk Kowtow’s with the best of them in regards to China.

"Size" is not a determining factor. Intentions and capabilities certainly are.

Intentions and capabilities certainly are.

Intentions and capabilities only matter when there is sufficient leverage.

Correct me if I am wrong. but I am sure I read somewhere that he’s been lowering his financial exposure in mainland China!

The article links below says that Teslas are mostly made in Fremont, California. (3 out of 4 factories in USA, one in China.) It seems to me his biggest exposure to China is batteries and battery materials and components. However, every EV manufacturer has that problem.

Sufficient leverage can be had with a phone call. I suspect you are well aware of that.

So, what's Peter's FR nick?

Doesn't that mean that Musk is very vulnerable to Hunter Biden?

BTW, one of the Russian troll clickbait feeds on YT claims that Putin and Musk have signed a peace treaty.

A very good question. Do we have any GROPElite list of those who betrayed Trump , beginning with a bunch of Bushes, Romney, and Rowe?

See, I had a cute, inappropriate comment, but it was A) a little weird and B) probably better self-redacted.
