Actor Frank Langella poses in the press room with the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play at the 70th Annual Tony Awards at The Beacon Theatre on June 12, 2016 in New York City.
Frank Langella, who was cast to play the lead in Netflix's limited series “The Fall of the House of Usher” has been fired from the show amid a misconduct investigation that came after a sexual harassment allegation.
According to Deadline, sources confirmed that the investigation determined Langella had been involved in unacceptable conduct on set. Earlier this week, TMZ reported that the 84-year-old Oscar-nominated actor allegedly made inappropriate comments to a female co-star.
Langella was set to play Roderick Usher in the series. Additional cast members include Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly and Mark Hamill.
The eight-episode series is based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. The cast will continue filming as Langella's part is now being recast.
He supposedly told an offensive joke and put his hand on an actresses knee..................
Now the “female co-star” is untouchable and will probably get a raise.
Absolutely NOT OK --> 84 year old Broadway star telling his costar an "off-color" joke. Or maybe he merely said "You look gorgeous in that dress."
Oh noes
How terrible
Upside down world, for sure.
The horror, the horror. Telling the tender and highly inhabitants of the entertainment industry a dirty joke as well as putting a hand on an actress’ knee. I am sure she was traumatized. Who had the ax out for Frank?
Possibly a lot of folks
He has written a tell all book about celebrities....no holds barred
Time to retire Frank.
Wow, talk about hyper sensitive. Guy is 84, he’s about as close to harmless as a man gets. He was just having some fun. By the way, if an 84 year old man got pleasure touching my wife, or my daughter’s knee, ok. Nothing more intimate, but the knee? Damn, cut the old man a break.
Always liked the guy as an actor.
Hollyweird has managed to suck all of the joy out of filmmaking. Everyone now needs to walk on eggshells for fear of offending someone. In the process of preventing a hostile work environment they have created a hostile work environment. Good for them.
Was he a “knee man”?
Seriously? Dracula misbehaving?
I mean…
…Dracula?
If it was no big deal what kind of spoiled privileged person takes an off color joke from an 84 year old man, and promptly seeks to destroy his career?
But I’m not surprised.
Take it up the ass, groom children, let your wife run free-range, chop penises and boobs off, laugh about aborting babies, parade through schools shouting gay, do every depraved thing imaginable.
But touching a woman’s knee and making a racy comment? That’s just a bridge too far! LOL
Betting his behavior was aimed at Carla Gugino...

Maybe he should have shot her.
That appears to be acceptable.
Ask Alex.
It would be fun to know more about the innocent wide-eyed waif who complained.
Women want to be equal to men? And they fall All to pieces over a knee touch and bad joke? Sorry but that doesnt rise to the level of sexual assault or wildly innapropriate behavior of wienstein.
. Should, there be discipline? Perhaps, but my goodness, How many men fall All to pieces when a female actress tells a raunchy joke and touches the knee, or shoulder, or back of a male? How many men claim “emotional trauma” after hearing a raunchy joke?
Come on women, you wanna be equal? toughen up! Or we will send “lia” Thomas after you.
Now I have to go watch his take on Nixon.
