More hope.
I asked my doctor the other day if I could get a full body transplant. He said dryly, "You're not a candidate." At least he thinks wearing masks are a joke.

“Re-programmed” - isn’t that how the clot-shots were supposed to work.

Excellent news! I’m in my late 60s. Yet I still hope to be a romantic lead in a major Hollywood movie some day. I think I’ll start on my Oscar acceptance speech right now.

...reprogrammed to be biologically younger while still keeping SOME of the functionality that made them skin cells in the first placeUh oh. That doesn't sound good. What functionality was jettisoned?

says molecular biologist Wolf Reik from the Babraham Institute.
"Babraham Institute" - sounds like something from the first Austin Powers movie. For that matter, so does "Wolf Reik".

The quote that reveals a giant and important question is:
“What makes the research particularly notable is that the skin cells were reprogrammed to be biologically younger while still keeping some of the functionality that made them skin cells in the first place.”
And the question it reveals is just what is meant by the process keeps “some” of the functionality that made the cells skin cells. That one word, “some” suggests that not all the original functionality of normal skin cells was retained.

The celebs who use botox and fillers really creep me out by their new frozen artificial looks.
I hope this break thru can work to replace the above.

My fantasy device is a combo tanning bed/Shrinky Dink oven, where you lie inside and it tightens up all your skin; hope they’re working in that direction!
