Most of the baby strollers my family observed on vacation in Savannah, Georgia were not transporting babies. Instead, couples perambulated about the city with . . . dogs. By the end of our vacation, we had counted more than 200 different dogs in strollers across the city. Seeing an actual baby in a stroller proved to be the exception, not the rule. The U.S. birthrate has fallen by about 20 percent since 2007, and shows no signs of recovering.

Why would anyone want to have a child in the world today?
I live in the rural south and in my small town I see plenty of young women with children. However, I know that young women in cities are not having children. Also, if women in cities do have children, they move away from cities. As a friend’s son who recently became a father and moved away from NYC said, “You’d be crazy to try and raise a kid in NYC.” (This is a guy who absolutely, positively loved the city.)

There are times, though, where even Jesus said that those pregnant or nursing babies are in grave danger.
Why would anyone want to have a child in the world today?

LOL! You’re not considering what the earth would be like if all these screwed-up women started having babies. It would definitely not improve the situation.
Do you ENJOY paying taxes so that low-IQ, unmotivated, jobless, purposeless women can keep cranking out kids? I don’t! I’ve spent a lot of time around welfare types and it used to be like part of my job for a long time. Women on welfare who have 10 kids by 10 different dads act all virtuous and privileged, and of course they are! They get paid for having kids that they can’t take care of. If you don’t have any kids it’s because you are “evil” and “had an abortion.” I mean, what a racket! And do they love their kids? Oh hell no! LOL! Their kids start having kids when they are 13. Before you know it you have 50 people who are wards of the state.
America has never been the most populous nation. But we still own all the others. Quality, not quantity.
Anyway, luckily for all of us and the rest of the world nothing anyone says is going to motivate these gals - the ones the article talks about - to start having kids. That at least is reassuring.
I grew up listening to catholics say these things. You know why catholic men want women to just stay home and keep their noses out of the world?
Because they’re involved in criminal activity. You don’t want the little woman interfering in your porn business. She needs to stay in the kitchen and the nursery. And if she loves her children, she might start having a problem with her man whose income is derived from robbery, fraud, drug and human trafficking, etc.
If one starts to dig, that is usually what one finds: “My wife doesn’t like the fact that I’m helping the local catholics with their racketeering business!” “That sucks. You should have another kid. That will give her something to do.”
Mark Steyn has written about demographics being the downfall of the west. Most western countries don’t reproduce at replacement rate. The US does just barely. Third world countries crank ‘em out.

I suspect that the world has always been a dangerous place to have children. I don’t think that changes much. Before antibiotics and safer child birth practices, child birth and children surviving up to 5 years of age were loaded with odds against survival. In the last 80 years, a lot of positive advancements alleviated those threats, at least in the Western world. There are several other reasons, pretty much all poor, as to why people don’t want to have children (unless they’re unable to for medical or physical reasons). God forbid people be burdened with creating the next generation that carries the civilization forward, or even on a more selfish level, take care of you in old age. I guess soylent green maybe a possibility, better yet, third worlders flooding our shores, who hate you and will gladly dispose of you in your old age given there’s no one to protect you, i.e., family. The family, the original tribal unit for survival. Being destroyed decade by decade, as part of the NWO, or marxist end game.
The bad news for women is that they’re living in a world where the vast majority of inventions were inspired by men’s desire to lessen women’s workload.
If you’re reading this, you’re not having to churn butter, beat the rugs on a clothesline or spend all day in the kitchen cooking 3 full meals without electricty, refrigeration or running water while having plenty of free time to whine about your lot in life on your personal validation device.
