Absolutely insane!
Just had my 70th. Still riding my Indian.
“If he falls off, all the force of physics comes into play, including the weight of a wave that is 115 feet tall.”
Yeah, I was thinking about that. It’s not like a scuba diver at 115 ft. Depth with the pressure equalized below and above. All the weight would be above, crushing you.
Dealing with that one wave would be bad enough. It’s what’s coming behind it that’s really sickening. Without the safety guys on jet skis to tow you out it’s certain death.”
Jet ski tow-in and rescue has made surfing the monster waves possible.
That was my reaction. I don't think the Baltic or North Seas kick up much of a surf. There isn't even a German word for "to surf," so German-speakers coined the word "surfen"--taking the English word and giving it a German ending.
Extraordinary!
serious bump in the road
Charlie don’t surf!
BFL
Good for you!
I sold my Yamaha to my cousin a few years ago.
Too many bad / crazy drivers out there anymore.
I had one too many close calls.
Hey - call me a 'wimp' if you must...
:-)
Ahhhh.
🏄♂️🐶 Coolest video you’ll see today. pic.twitter.com/CFFvi2PlYn— PiQ (@PriapusIQ) April 11, 2022
I watched a documentary about the guy who founded this break and was the first to surf it. It was a wave that would kill you if you didn’t study and learn about the break. The wave is huge but you should see the rocks and walls you could crash into if you don’t know what you’re doing.
I don’t have to ride much at all around cagers.
95% of my ride miles are 55 mph (legally speaking) country roads in central Kentucky. God’s gift to motorcycle riders.
That is great.
That fella on Gilligan’s Island not only rode a tsunami to the island but the Professor predicted a second tsunami that took him back home.
It doesn’t feel like anything because you’re dead.
Close....from Third Stone....
Wow is right!!!
