Don't Give Putin Any Slack

Posted on 04/10/2022 7:18:40 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

My friends there are too many pundits as well as historians who go as far as to blame us for crossing Putin's red line-his security interests we ignored with NATO expansion despite his clear warnings. These ideas do not help point out who the Russians are-a paranoid nation who will act on it's paranoia. Millions killed(murdered) by their own government. The Holodomor. The gulag.

You justify Putin based on your position on Azov. You can’t see one without the other. Don’t play dumb. This has been your position since the invasion took place.

"You justify Putin based on your position on Azov."

You IGNORE Azov, the fact that they're part of the Ukraine Government, and that they TERRORIZE ethnic Russians, because it's simply 'convenient' to look the other way. Need I remind of just who Azov was, before you guys started calling them the 'good guys', or at least 'not a problem'.

In any case, once the Steel Works in Mariupol is liberated (in the next few days), we'll just see who was in bed with these known killers.

I don’t ignore Azov, though before the invasion occurred I would just say they are Ukraine’s problem.

But invading a sovereign nation overshadows any nations internal problems, and is not a proper solution, not if we want a world with countries that respect laws and norms between other nations. Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait was a similar situation.

I also don’t believe or understand the comments here that Zelensky is a proponent of nazis just because Azov exists. People here question why Zelensky would allow Azov to exist. Zelensky was elected as a reformer just a few years ago. Anyone who payed attention to the Trump presidency should understand a reformer up against a corrupt state cant always drain the swamp by themselves. Do you blame Trump for the swamp he failed to drain?

Countries get invaded when other options are exhausted. NATO clearly knew what they were doing, yet kept doing it. And NATO knew it would lead to an invasion, as Putin has done the same in other countries in his neighborhood. The question then is why did NATO want this outcome?

Russia made the invasion option one. Did they go to the UN? Did they get consider an economic embargo, or other sanctions? Did they seek international support for their cause?

No. None of the above. Instead Putin called up his military for months of ‘peaceful’ war games. Instead he gives speeches about how Ukraine never really existed or it was overrun by nazis who were a threat to mother Russia.

Exhausted options? Laughable.

Perhaps Zelensky didn’t want Azov, but if so, I’d like to see some links (prior to the war, of course). No one has provided those kinds of links, nor has anyone even made that claim, at least as far as I can remember here.

As to Trump...I’m sure you’ll agree that there were PLENTY of times that Trump complained about the crap that people who supposedly were under his command were doing to undercut him.

So the comparison between the two is not yet valid - since, based on all that I’ve seen, Zelensky LOVES having Azov in his government, such as last week when he addressed Greece last week.

Wow, from your link:

The soldier in the video message said:

“I was born in Mariupol, and I take part in the defence of the city from the Russian Nazis. I will not talk about the difficulties we have in defence, participating through the Azov Battalion. This is my debt to my city, my debt as a man and I must talk about the catastrophic conditions in which the Greek Mariupol is experiencing.”

The video of Azov Battalion’s soldier triggered the reaction of opposition parties as well as influential members of the ruling New Democracy party.

You take that as an endorsement of Azov by Zelensky? So much bias in reporting that you don’t believe anything you read but you buy this? You can’t see the mountain created by this molehill?

DON’T LIE, please. Just because you hate one side doesn’t give you license to lie about them, at least not here.

Why did Zelensky bring in Azov, then?

A link from 2017, after the annexation of Crimea and invasion of Georgia? Really? What since?

You don’t see a pattern here?

From the article you linked, I don’t see where Zelensky ‘brought Azov in’. Based on the various news articles, they were already there.

Why did trump bring in Fauci? He didn’t. Fauci was already there.

People that think one man can control every element of government, staff, military, etc, around them, all while trying to defend his country from decimation from invaders need to get realistic.

I think you answered your own question. Because Putin has done the same in other countries in his neighborhood, even when they weren’t invited to join NATO

Of course I do - isolate Putin so that he has NO CHOICE but to attack Ukraine.

I also see another pattern - Putin was perfectly fine with letting both Crimea and Donbass remain part of Ukraine...since he had left things alone for 14 years in Crimea, and 20 years in Donbass. Obviously something changed...and not in Russia (hint: Victoria Neuland)

The only mistake Russia made with Crimea was not taking it back immediately, it had no business being part Ukraine. And it’s no different than if Biden signs away Texas to Mexico and then Trump gets back to the White House and demands it back.

I agree. I am wholly uninterested in a country of 40 million half a world away being invaded when we have a state, California, of the same population that is embarking down disastrous socialist ways purely because of liberal hate for this country, its founding, and its clear influence on how their Electoral impact affects the national direction of this country.

Thanks, I figured if you wouldn’t accept my link, in RESPONSE to your claim. After all, you’re obviously consumed with hate. I pray for your soul.
