What about air superiority the Ukrainians need to win against Russia? Have they gained air superiority yet?  They were planning on being gifted with 4th gen fighter jets and giving their pilots 12 weeks of training to go up against Russia's best jets and seasoned pilots. Does that sound like a winning plan? Has that worked out for them (No!).

I realize there are patriots who are unaware that the only battle the Ukrainian military has won at this point is 24/7 treasonous media coverage claiming their citizens, after being handed weapons, are 'winning' against trained Russian soldiers.

But wars are won with air superiority, and the Ukrainians have none. They admit it below; note their optimism in giving their pilots 12 weeks of training if someone would just loan them fighter jets. Yes - trainee fighter pilots against Russia's Air Force....

You may read about Russia's air superiority here (freerepublic.com)

The Ukrainian Air Force's admission they stand zero chance of 'winning' is posted below.

Ukrainian Air Force on Twitter: "⚡The Ukrainian Air Force would like to address misinformation published in multiple Western media outlets regarding the situation in the 🇺🇦 sky and support from our @NATO allies. More in 🧵(1/16) #ProtectUАSky #StopRussia #UkraineUnderAttaсk" / Twitter

I didn’t say Russia wasn’t going to win. He just may want to reassess his timetable in light of Russia’s pullback from Kiev. As I said, this interview is a few weeks old.

#36. Russia started this war and they have not won. They are now retreating from Kyiv and moving to shore up their positions in the east. Those are facts which supersede all others. How those facts are reported and who reports them have no bearing on them.

The Ukrainian AF tweet also states what it needs to counter Russian aviation. Look at it as a shopping list instead of a admission of defeat. They want to get their hands on 4th generation aircraft, F-16s, F-15s, more and better surface to air missiles, S-300s and 400s, Patriots, NASAMS.

They are getting more weapons now, more Stingers, British Starstreaks (extremely good), and current anti-tank rockets and missiles. They need heavier weapons to carry the fight. Those weapons, Tanks, heavier SAMS, and fighters, take more time for governments to approve and deploy than man portable weapons.

The Russian air force has shown it is having the same problems as their ground forces. They are mostly using daytime operations, no coordination with ground forces, and limited use of guided weapons. That is fine for bombing cities block by block. It is not good enough when the enemy has comparable weapons to fight back. Russian aircraft are not going into areas covered by Ukrainian's medium and long range air defense missiles.

Ukraine is the size of Texas. Russia has shown poor ground control and airborne early warning needed to counter the Ukrainian AF. If Ukraine was going up against USAF AWACS, F-15s and F-16s, they would have been out of action in hours.

On the first day of the invasion Russia only fired a few cruise missiles at airfields, did not put one out of action, and called it a day. No matter their size or what they claim they are capable, how they are fighting is their actual level of competency and effectiveness.

Ransomnote, that joint must be mighty strong.

Ukrainians as the defenders against Putin’s Nazi army, don’t need air superiority. They just deny the Russians that.
