Even setting aside their recently revealed support for destroying human happiness through sexual chaos, Disney’s products push a lifestyle that doesn’t reflect my goals for family life. I don’t want my kids taught to be whiny brats whose biggest lesson to learn is that all authority figures are dumb or evil. That’s a main message of almost every major Disney property, and it’s very bad for kids.
Other destructive and pervasive Disney messages include that men (especially dads) are stupid and bad, women can do no wrong, women need to validate themselves by beating people up more fiercely than the boys do, celebrity is something to aspire to (instead of being a good person), and “if it feels good, do it.” These are terrible values that can and do destroy people just as much as severing their genitals. I have no interest in supporting these messages with my money or my children’s attention. So we have never been a Disney family, and we never will be.
Dollywood, on the other hand, that I can get into. The only message Dollywood pushed is that people should love each other. Oh, and “Love Every Moment.” Who can feel uncomfortable with that? Here’s a little rundown about what I liked best about Dollywood, what I didn’t, and what worked for our family in terms of logistics.

Clean, Not Overly Branded, Well-Maintained

Once you’re in Dollywood, you don’t have to keep buying tickets or tokens for more rides. Pay the entrance fee and you get all the rides you can manage.***

Can’t get a beer at Dollywood.
Never going there again.
or you could take the money and buy a new car instead ,LOL
Pigeon Forge just got over a fire
It could use the business.
disney and all woke companies need to be destroyed.
Two things that I loved about the place was the Aviary, and Dolly’s RV.
The birds were awesome. I don’t particularly care for birds being caged, but it is a sanctuary after all, so I appreciated that.
Check out Ark-encounter. I have not been there but heard it’s very family friendly with great learning displays. Creation taught and a life size Noah’s Ark.
Isnt Dolly a woker?
Wildfires have been through that area the last couple of years. Might want to check the whole area out.
Grand Canyon, fish in the Rockies, mt Rushmore, black hills, anything but the mouse
Stay away from Dolly, from statements she’s made against conservative republicans she’s exposed herself as a woke liberal, not a conservative.
If I were to go to L.A., I would not mind checking out Knott’s Berry Farm as opposed to going to Disneyland.
The first time I heard of Dollywood, I thought Salvador Dali had a theme park. My friends fell on the floor laughing. Dolly Parton was totally unknown to me but I’m quite familiar with Dali.
And Dali would have one heck of a surreal wonderful park. Would definitely go there, though Dollywood not so much.
We’ve been to both and it was a great time. While in Gaitlinburg checking out DollyWood you can see Cades Cove, a bunch of great scenery, the Nautitorium, Pigeon Forge, it’s like Branson with half the traffic. On the way to The Ark exhibit stop by the Creation Museum it’s as well done as any museum I have been to.
This kind of stuff is clickbait for “conservatives.” The author has a knee jerk reaction with little thought or analysis. Visiting DW does nothing for the conservative movement; DP is not conservative.
I found Busch Gardens Tampa better than Disney and less people
A headline more appropriate for babblin' biden's administrations created reality.
I will add Dollywood to our places to vacation.
