Have White people been banned? Well? Huh? (LOL)
This is the same logic they use when claiming a disproportionate
number of Blacks are housed in our prisons.
Yeah, they committed crimes that warranted that status.

Seriously, though, don’t you find the absolute lack of curiosity telling?
An incredibly juicy story like this and nobody is asking any questions.
That follows a pattern.
If you can’t spin it, spike it.
And that smells.

Sounds like a reward to me.

Will Smith not permitted to attend Oscars for 10 yearsAnd this is punishment?
No, it's actually another one of the many rewards Will Smith received after slapping Chris Rock as follows:
- Is immediately consoled by Hollyweird actors Denzel Washington, Bradley Cooper, and Tyler Perry.
- Is allowed to stay for the entire Academy Awards show.
- Receives Academy Award for Best Actor.
- Gives award acceptance speech in which he declares he's all about "love."
- Receives huge standing ovation for his speech from the Hollyweird audience.
- Is allowed to avoid the Hollyweird Academy Awards show for the next 10 years.
Can't get any luckier than that.
The Motion Picture Academy is thus setting a terrible example for everyone watching the Academy Awards around the world, teaching everyone that Crime Pays.

He just can’t go, he can still get the swag.

My prediction: It may not even be a year. Before too long, there will be a backlash to the backlash. Because, y’know , the Academy is racist.

I guess I stand corrected on thinking it was a hoax.
But I still wouldn’t be surprised if he’s back next year.

Also, think about when this incident took place during the show, that the show was looking at record bad ratings and demos, that the violence was a slap and not a punch, and that we have a very limited number of views of what took place.
Simple way to find out. Just ask those questions of the parties involved.

No Oscars for 10 years?
I’ll take that punishment.
Kind of like a restraining order.
Don’t show it to me on my TV, news, papers or magazines. No public conversations of the subject.

If it was staged, it was a complete flop. I don’t think the Academy cares one way or the other. It accomplished nothing but an apology and a lot of grief.
To: conservative98
So if he is not allowed to attend the awards show, is that the same as not being eligible to win one? And I wonder what the odds are that the Oscars might not exist in 10 years anyway.
I wonder what they will call the replacement award.
