We more than likely saw the same tour. Mine was in LA Pauly pavilion, UCLA right around that same time. Steve Vai is at the top of my great guitarist list. I saw Dweezil and his band a few years ago... He's no slouch either.

Very cool to see him playing an Ibanez on that video. I own a few of them, including a couple of active pickup basses. great instruments at budget prices IMO.

I like the way it’s laid out with 3 different angled necks, they’re not parallel which most doubles that I know of are.

Wow! That’s a power lineup. I don’t have to ask you if it was great.

Pretty darn impressive. Great focus, keeping track of all the controls, strings, nevermind what to play next. Thank God for delay, reverb, and a drum track, of course, that smooths it out nicely.
Thanks for posting, enjoyed it a lot!

I don’t know if you’ve seen this, but it’s awesome. I took my oldest son years ago to a Steve Vai show where he came out afterwards, told stories and took questions. He has a lot of love for Frank and was very open about his time in the band.

We saw Dweelzil on the “Hot Rats” tour, literally the night before NY shut everything down due to COVID, man, was a tribute he is to his father.

If you were in Tarrytown, that entire March 12, 2020 show is on YouTube.
