Last year my refund was posted to my account via the IRS. This year it's a third party LLC. What's up with that?
Did they take a commission?
Tell us the NAME of the LLC!!
Probably a Chinese collection agency.
Did the Big Guy get his 10%?
I’m sure somewhere hidden in some bill is a multi-million dollar contract for some govt-approved distribution verification firm to handle the payments. Of course this 3 person firm with the $177 million invoice to the IRS is owned by fill-in-the-blank-democrat-senator’s son.

This sounds a little ominous. Last I had heard was that some folks had had waited forever for refunds & still had not got things resolved, so i wonder if the IRS had to call in outside help? They were WAY behind.
Wife and I filed electronic thru our CPA and got our refund in less than 2 weeks.
I don’t have to worry about that; no refund for me. I actually had to pay the #@!$ this year. 😞
Does the name of the third-party LLC contain the letters ‘biden’?
Did you file it yourself or through an accountant? Was that really a loan in anticipation of the refund. I just checked my deposit and is was “IRS TREAS TAX REF”.
They haven’t fully trained the immigrants yet. By next year things will run smoother.
Sounds plausible- if not likely - despite the perceived sarcasm.
If you had your tax fees withheld from the refund, that will sometimes cause this behavior.
Keep in mind that the IRS uses Metabank to facilitate transfers to debit cards etc.
No tax professional or tax company EVER is allowed to handle your refund - they must use IRS direct deposit or a bank that has a relationship with Metabank.
Metabank is owned by US Bank out of Minneapolis.
Fact is, the pimps and whores in congress write laws that are deliberately difficult to understand. That's a principle in jurisprudence, viz. difficult to understand so that judges have flexibility in implementation.
