As predicted. Viruses mutate to become easier to spread, and less lethal. It’s the way it goes. So, this fits the pattern perfectly.

If COVID-19 follows the same pattern as every other virus, it will continually evolve strains that are more contagious but less virulent, eventually becoming just another human coronavirus strain that causes the common cold.
It is basic Darwinian evolution. The more contagious and less virulent a strain is, the more people it can infect and the more widely it can spread.
