Some families across the country are reconsidering their previously Disney-friendly stance in their homes or their lives — including the movies, the streaming service, the theme parks and other offerings from the entertainment and media conglomerate.
That's partly because Disney's CEO, Bob Chapek, has opposed a new bill signed into law this week by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis; it's known as the Parental Rights in Education bill.
But it's not just this. Disney World and Disneyland have decided to ban the use of "gender greetings" within their parks — so the terms "boys and girls" and "ladies and gentlemen" will no longer be uttered by employees on Disney grounds.
These instances and more of left-leaning policies are why some concerned parents, grandparents and others have changed or are revising their views of Disney. Here are opinions and insights from a variety of individuals, as shared with Fox News Digital this week in exclusive interviews.

Sadly, there are way too many houses that are run by the kids.
Heard this morning that DeSantis is proposing what I’d suggested a couple of weeks ago (i.e., not claiming that I’m smarter, just willing to think out ways to attack the monsters) of lifting DisneyWorld’s special state status — protecting them from local laws and regs.
More of this sort of thing is needed.
I’ve taken my 4 kids to Disneyland once a year from birth until they turn 18—beginning in 1998—I have one more trip left, planned for Feb 2023, during my last kid’s senior year. End of an era in so many ways. . .
I’d like to see this as the beginning of a national boycott.
DeSantis is the best governor in the country.
This deliberate degrading of society is being purposely financed/subsidized by a degenerate billionaire cult...just like the Fed., they don’t actually NEED your money.
I agree.
Left-leaning politics? More like outright Marxism.
Walt Disney does not approve.
Make that eleven families.
Walt is more than likely spinning in his grave like a top.
This whole thing is not that new actually.....many years ago I read that the Disney company had decided to allow gay employees to add their “partners” to their medical insurance...not that I had been there in decades anyway, but even only living 2 hours from dw I knew then they would never get another dime from me.....knowingly anyway, because as I understand it there are many companies under the disney enterprises Inc. umbrella
I’m with you. We are under outright Marxism. But since a large percentage of our population is pretty ignorant and uneducated about the history of Communism and who Karl Marx is, they have no idea what is happening to our country and freedoms.
It’s not just “politics.” These are moral issues.
So many nations have been judged by God. What will our country look like 10 years from now, if we keep going down the road of degeneracy and immorality?
+ 100
I began “de-Disneying” my family when they started having gay pride days.
Pretty much completed the process after the H-1B fiasco a few years ago when they had their long-time tech employees train their H-1B foreign replacements and force the long-time employees to sign gag orders not disclosing their treatment to general public or lose benefits. Not sure how that was even legal.
Would not want to be anywhere near their parks with my kids during one of their Pride weekends any more than I would take my kids to Drag Queen story time..
So no parks no products for me.
Swore off disney decades ago, following the last mandatory visit with the kids. They just placed too high a price on “happiness.” Turns out I was right to cut the cord.
Happy Meals are a perfect example of that.
