Thanks!
I would like to see a analysis of how many women are killed and/or seriously injured while operating HD’s vs. Men.
I personally know several women who’ve been really mangled or killed and I know men have been but I don’t personally know any.
I uh I wanted to watch them....., but I can’t afford it.
You got some funny Kawasaki or Honda commercials?
I think women are killed trying to drive them
Men are killed while driving them
Sometimes irs the bike itself, every single year of harley has engine problems and quirks and special things you need to know about it because it needs special care for this or that
You dont do what you need to for your particular engine/bike and the thing can really give you a bad day.
Ha! You haven’t lived until you’ve owned an ironhead Sportster. Lol. And then put a 74ci stroker kit on it. Calling it a paint shaker doesn’t do it justice. Dont for get to drill and wire every nut.
A few chuckles
She moved to Hawaii, and while she was still a teenager, I visited there for a couple weeks and rented a HD Sportster 1200. We had a total blast riding together along the ocean-side roads, etc.
It's the only time I've ridden a HD, but it was a lifetime memory. There is nothing like the feel and sound of that V-Twin on the open road.
“Dont for get to drill and wire every nut.”
Locktite. It means stuff doesn’t fall off more than once.
“Almost won’t get you there.” Very true, and not just in regards to motorcycles or HD in particular. I have a sign that says “4 wheels moves the body, 2 wheels moves the soul.” For me, that’s with a V-Twin rumble. ;-)
Nice.. 50+ years on Harleys... Never change.
Sounds like having a wife...
Which is why I don’t have a Harley.
I am a woman, and 2022 marks my 50th year riding, (driving, not on the back).
I have had a few spills, one involving a tornado. A little tornado, yes, but it was a tornado in Ft. Lauderdale. .
I’m still here, and still riding (widowed, senior citizen, Christian, ‘Murican Conservative Freeper Woman)
I have buried quoite a few brothers, mostly who rode under the influence.
I learned to ride a bike before I learned to drive a car, so I am much more comfortable on my Harley.
I’m still here.
I can’t control other drivers or the weather, but I CAN control what I put in my body before I take the buckhorns.
That, I think, is what makes all the difference.
I worked with a lady who had a new sportster delivered and promptly drove it into her fence mangling her wrists.
A high school friend crashed on an interstate exit and was killed.
All were 50 or over.
Awesome and congrats... Riding a Harley is a lot like being a teacher.. those that can do, those that can’t teach.
Got my first helicopter ride via life flight, I still ride. Wasn’t my fault but you never give up.
I’d rather enjoy life than wonder what I could have enjoyed.
It is dangerous, I know. I am not disputing that.
But I love riding. (I’m pushing 70)
Amen.
