A high school runner was sucker-punched by an another competitor who ran into his lane during the race at a Florida track meet.
Just as the pack was coming down the straight portion of the track in the 1,600-meter race, the attacker made a beeline for the runner from the infield at the Tohopekaliga Tiger Invitational in Kissimmee on Saturday.
The teen, who was dressed in black running shorts and black T-shirt, appeared to come out of nowhere and caught the runner dressed in white-and-red by surprise.
The stunned runner fell to the ground after leading the race.
Before the start of the race, the teen in black who ran onto the tack had been told by the punched runner to move out of the way, according to TMZ.
The teen did not move and on the following lap, which was not caught on video, the runner reportedly pushed the teen in black out of the way, knocking him over after he deliberately got in the way.
It was during the subsequent lap, that the teen in black ran onto the track and punched the other teen - who was leading the race - in the head.
The punch threw the runner off balance and saw him floored in a heap at the side of the track as other runners ran around him to finish the race.
The runner who was hit eventually got up and crossed the finish line.
In the stands, spectators supporting the athletes from 27 schools competing in the invitational were stunned by what they had just witnessed. 'Are you f***ing kidding me?!' one person could be heard saying repeatedly while others simply screamed in horror.
Police were called although it is not known if charges were filed.

Going to college in the ‘hood in NJ, we used the convoy system - nobody ever left the fortress alone.
Why did not any of the adults seen in the video standing around watching intervene? They knew not to. They knew they would be in deep trouble with the Man if the had. And as long as White parents ate stupid enough to send their children to these events, it will only get worse. One never wins, as history attests, by giving in to evil. I understand the parents remaining mute and continuing to send their children to the slaughter. It is their child’s head that being busted. Not theirs. It is their child who is at risk of being seriously injured not them. This was not a two second episode. It took a while to unfold. And no adult shown in the video made an effort to stop it.
