America is dismantling the pillars of its own empire - Saudi editor to 'Post'

The Saudi-US relationship is in the throes of a crisis. As a Saudi who went to college in the US, loves America and wants to see it strong, I am increasingly disturbed by the unreality of the American discussion about the subject, which often fails to acknowledge just how deep and serious the rift has grown.

A more realistic discussion should focus on one word: “Divorce.” When President Barack Obama negotiated the nuclear deal with Iran, we Saudis understood him to be seeking the breakup of a 70-year marriage. How could we not? After all, the flaws in the deal are well known. It paves a path for Iran to a nuclear bomb. It fills the war chest of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which has spread militias across the Arab world armed with precision-guided munitions to maim and kill people who formerly looked to America to help guarantee their safety.

This past weekend, Secretary of State Antony Blinken joined a conference in the Negev, hosted by Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and attended by a number of Arab foreign ministers. Blinken used this occasion to paper over the rift that the nuclear deal has created by presenting an image of regional solidarity, but the region is not deceived.

Sold disingenuously to the American public as an arms control agreement, the deal is an assault on the regional order that the United States established in the aftermath of World War II. Explicitly hostile to Saudi Arabia, to say nothing of America’s other greatest ally in the region, Israel, the deal replaces the former American-led regional security structure with a concert system in which Iran, backed by Russia and China, becomes America’s new subcontractor while America’s former allies—the Gulf States and Israel— are demoted to second-tier status…

Of all the things that Biden has done this is the worst. More people will be killed from this decision than any other he has made. More likely this is where the real WW3 starts.

“...the deal is an assault on the regional order that the United States established in the aftermath of World War II.”

That’s the idea.

Remember this is the Obama deal.

Their decisions are all based on what’s worst for the United States.

“the deal replaces the former American-led regional security structure with a concert system in which Iran, backed by Russia and China, becomes America’s new subcontractor”

Hmmmm, let’s see. Senator Sasse just yesterday gave a speech with receipts from bank transfers coming from China to Hunter Biden’s business. Probably just a coincidence.

Biden is simultaneously executing two existential attacks on the Saudis. The first is the destruction of the Saudi economy by destroying it's oil industry by fundamentally destroying the market for oil itself. He is then delivering the Saudis (and the entire Middle East - probably most of the West as well) into the hands of it's enemy by supporting the radical Shiite theocracy and terrorist state of Iran in it's bid to obtain the ability to manufacture volume quantities of nuclear weapons by 2027 while simultaneously giving the Iranian Mullahs close to a Trillion dollars to expand their ballistic missile programs for delivery of the nuclear weapons and to fund their world wide terrorist network's operations. Under Biden, by 2030 the Saudi economy will be in shambles and they will be easy pickings for a Biden revitalized Iran bent on global Jihad and armed with effective nuclear equipped ballistic missiles. This is the definition of self destructive, suicidal insanity

Sounds accurate to me. Still unexplained is the rats’ insane drive to provide Iran with nukes. This whole Russian-Iranian-democrat deal is so last century.

The US wants Iranian oil and gas back on the open market to help counteract the sanctions on Russia. Iran probably already has enough fissile material for a couple nukes, these sanctions only slow them from acquiring more.

If Israel and Saudi Arabia feel threatened by Iran, then it’s going to be up to them to handle it. Both of those countries have been pushing the US to go to war with Iran, but that’s not going to happen any time soon, especially with Russia now on our plate.

It’s not America doing it, it’s the crooks who cheated their way into control who are doing it.🙄
