Only two weeks to flatten the curve ...

""In that sense we are the same as before. But in another way we have more of an appreciation of how precious life is."

I learned how precious life is when Democrats started murdering babies in the womb, and continued to advance that act, to the point it's okay to kill your baby up to, and including when the child is born.

This reads like advice on how to live under tyranny and accept it.

"Only two weeks to flatten the curve ..."

The only thing that changed for me during those two years of lockdown, was having to wear a mask to see my doctors, and have procedures done. Other than that, I never followed one guideline the CDC, Fauci, or anyone else mandated. 74 years of age with underlying health issues. Never got the vaccines, never will. Visited family and friends, traveling across state lines, stopping at every damn rest stop out and back, stayed in hotels, ate out in restaurants out and back, and did what I wanted, when I wanted. I won't have to look back and complain that I lost two years of my life that I'll never get back, but a lot of stupid people will.

The other side of the equation is how many people survived because of avoiding vehicle fatalities?

Where do I go to get back my healthy blood pressure, weight and blood sugar? Will a stimulus check buy that for me?

Same here! Was not going to add to the insane absurdity. Hubby and I are 68. Haven’t seen sick a day. Living our life normally.

Same for me. My job is public facing and I just never quit. We pivoted my responsibilities, but I met thousands of people, shook hands, stayed in hotels, ate at restaurants, almost never wore a mask, even in places where it was mandated. I visited something like 27 states during lockdown.

Covid finally caught up with me. I drove 350 miles and got home. Took Ivermectin and a whole bunch of other supplements.

A few days later, I hit the road again, loaded with natural immunity at which point I went from don’t care to really, really don’t care.

2020 was almost like a year that didn’t happen.

Yup.

Supposedly the good outweighs the bad

such as

the amount of kiddie porn online doubeling

from predators having their prey locked down with them

And schools providing laptops without cams and free broadband

The masks also helped hide the fear on the little ones faces

And muffling the sounds of their cries.

.

I wish it hadn’t. A longtime best friend and my closest sister both passed away that year. :(

Agreed. My wife & I (in our 60s) flew across the country in April 2020 and drove across and back in May 2020. Kept going to church, maskless, singing hymns - and no one died. The only rule was “If you FEEL SICK, stay home until you feel better.” That was all it took. Kind of like for my previous 60+ years.

Great observation. I was thinking a similar thing. They’re trying to put a positive spin on tyranny.

Almost the same here. I wore masks in private places that required it. Drs offices and such. The biggest thing that irritates me is that I’d like to go into Canada and see some of the beautiful sites in the Northwest, but can’t because I won’t get jabbed. Oh well.

Frankly, we have learned that we are happiest when we are “stuck” in our own home.

They’ve turned this country into too much of a jungle out there nowadays.

It’s just no fun out there anymore.

My mother was born in Canada, and I'm glad I went up there back in the early 90's to do some family research, because I'd never be able to do it today. Many things are not on the internet, and have to be found on microfilm and actual documents held at historical societies.

My youngest son and his wife will be moving from Indiana to northern Michigan in May. When I visit them, I always drive. I checked the routes from here to where they will be moving, and the shortest route is through Canada. I won't be able to access that route because I'm not vaccinated. No big deal. I'd rather give my money to businesses in this country anyway. Even if it takes me an extra day to get there, I'd rather do that, than put up with Canada's BS.
