BREAKING: Major pileup erupts on Pa. highway in middle of snow squall
A section of Interstate 81 in east-central Pennsylvania was shut down following a major pileup that occurred during a snow squall late Monday morning.
The pileup was first reported on the northbound lane of the highway in Schuylkill County shortly after 11 a.m. EDT by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). Officials then shut down all travel on both northbound and southbound lanes.

We just had this snow squall blow through The Jersey Shore area.
Weirdest thing. Sunny one minute and a raging squall the next.

I was just past I-81 this morning. It was hard driving in the snow. Not this bad though.
I-81 in Schuylkill County, especially around Pine Grove and Ravine, are well known for these snow squalls.
At the moment Snow Squall Warnings are in effect on I-81 from Carlisle to Pottsville and I-80 from Clearfield to Bloomsburg.
Pa had the weirdest weather - one minute it was a white out - then sunshine- then snowing again - this went on all day.
In Westeern Pa I have 3 inches of snow still on my deck.

Please, don’t stand in the road, or try and get personal property from your vehicle. Get to safety immediately.

Also unusual snow in Israel 10-12 days ago. Years since that happened mid-March there.
