On day 32 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian forces are focusing their efforts on eastern Ukraine in an attempt to salvage anything they can from the thus far failed “special military operation.”
Last week, the Russian Ministry of Defense did an embarrassing about-face and stated that its primary objectives in Ukraine were focused on eastern Ukraine, where there are Russian separatists, rather than trying to capture large Ukrainian urban centers, such as Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa.
In its daily estimate of the war, the British Ministry of Defense assessed that the Russian military is repositioning its forces in an attempt to encircle and destroy the Ukrainian forces that are facing Donbas and Luhansk.

The guy knows the real military situation in Ukraine. In other words, he knows how much crap Ukraine is in. He wants to negotiate a settlement but a settlement doesn’t jive with DC’s plans for Moscow regime change.
I agree. As long as the West can supply anti-tank and manpads by the thousands, Russian forces are dead meat.
The Russians aren’t retreating from Kiev.
They’re advancing on Moscow.

Nope, the Ukrainian claims that they have recaptured the city. For three days and counting.

1,250 ballistic and cruise missiles, and have lost how many tanks, cannons, soldiers etc. Man O Man this is costing Russia some real money.
And for what?
Not to mention that most of the world is condemning them and removing businesses.
Mariupol is about to be completely taken. It was on its last breath yesterday.
The Russian military high command operates in similar fashion.
In Stalin’s day officers were told “If you take the objective we give you a medal. If you don’t we shoot you’’.
