Han Solo was okay. Better than others that felt a bit Disneyish.

We’ve been on a Star Wars binge lately.
Watched them in order of release. IV, V, VI, I, and then II last night. My fave is still A New Hope, but I have to say II (Attack of the Clones) was quite good, too.

The Ewoks seemed to be created to just sell “new” teddy bears. It was very cartoonish at that point IMO. Did anyone in the Empire eat their prisoners of war? The Ewoks are cute little war criminals. They deserved what happened to them when the melting slag of Death Star II destroyed Endor's environment and made it uninhabitable.

Star Wars I (1977) was far and away the best of the series. There should never have been any sequels or antecedents.

I saw the first 3 original Star Wars films this week on TNT (Sling tv) and even though Harrison Fords acting was wooden, the script and action and pace of the films and the actors in them are what the newer Star Wars films lack.
The new ones are lacking a good script and have bland actors.

Empire Strikes Back was a lot better than ANH.
To me it goes ESB>>>ANH, ROTS, ROTJ, TFA, AOTC, TPM> TLJ, ROS.

I agree with you but we are vastly outnumbered. Most folks loved the endless sequels and prequels. They just ain’t as cultured as we is.

The planet Alderaan is destroyed by the Deathstar.
Obi-Wan Kenobi grabs his head and responds to Luke who asks him:
“Does your head hurt as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced?’
Obi-Wan Kenobi replies: “No, just a slight headache”

Lucas had nothing to do with the last three movies.

I remember seeing it in the movie theater when it first came out. The movie featured THX surround sound.
I am not a Star Wars buff, but a few years ago the Phoenix Symphony played the soundtrack live with the actual Empire Strikes Back movie playing above it. It was a great experience for me and my children.

Exactly my point. He sold out the franchise to Mickey Mouse Inc. and they turned a decent group of movies into Disneyfied babble.
To be honest, I’m surprised that they haven’t released the “new and improved” versions of Episodes 1-6 yet!
