How many tourists does Loch Ness get?

I have to admit, I passed through there decades ago, and had to wait for a train. Having a couple of beers looking out over the water, you just can’t help but stare and wonder. I had no idea that I was participating in the “British class system” by doing so.

Not very many I don't think. I've been there (did not see Nessie). I was stationed in England, and we made a trip up to Scotland, saw the fantastic castle at Edinburgh, proceeded north to Inverness, and swung around the north side the lake. It really didn't look like it had many visitors.

Back in the 80s I attended a lecture by Doc Edgerton of MIT/ aka Dr. Flash [inventor of the strobe light; he *unveiled* to the public, for the first time his photo of which *could be* Nessie.

In the talk, Edgerton admitted he was reluctant to join the search, being an unbeliever. But he was convinced to try, and that he did.
