At this point, we are the lead on the sanctions, behind organizing/rallying NATO, sending arms/cash and you better believe a massive amount of intel.
Our SIGINT, MASINT, HUMINT and IMINT is second to none. We can see things from space or air, pick shit up traveling the airwaves, Internet, phones... we have human sources across the world. Not to take credit away from the Ukrainians, they ultimately have to do the fighting and bleeding (frankly, IMHO it was wrong of us to start this war even though it is to our benefit either way it goes), but the US armed, trained and feeds them intel. At this point, Mr. Z is “owned” by us.

The dirty little secret is that the Russians took out the majority of the Ukraine military infrastructure in the first two days.
All the rest has been mostly noise—and I agree that US Intel knew what was happening.
