NASA Is Preparing To Send A New Message To Aliens ["We're stupid, we're tasty, and this is where to find us."]

A group of scientists from the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory believes that it is necessary to send a new message to representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations. This new message, called “Beacon in the Galaxy,” will be the “heir” of a radio signal that was sent back in 1974 from the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico.

Scientists from NASA have encrypted the following information in a new message for extraterrestrial intelligence:

Information about the biochemical composition of life on Earth. This information includes an image of the four building blocks of DNA – adenosine, cytidine, guanosine and thymidine.

A timeline that starts from the Big Bang to show exactly when the message was sent. The scientists also indicated the dates of the appearance of the main scientific achievements of mankind. Among them are Newton’s laws, Einstein’s theory of relativity, the beginning of space flights and the landing of a man on the moon.

Location of the solar system in the Milky Way, showing distances to known globular clusters. It is necessary that representatives of extraterrestrial civilization knew where to send the answer and how long to wait for feedback.

Digitized images of the solar system and the Earth’s surface.

Digitized images of people.

I don’t think God put me on this planet to judge others. I think he put me on this planet to gather specimens and take them back to my home planet. Jack Handey....

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they’d never expect it. Jack Handey, Deep Thoughts

How do I know there may be intelligent life out there? Because they know not to contact us.

From the Article:

“ What will be the new message for aliens?

Scientists use basic mathematical and physical concepts for this message, which, in their opinion, are a universal means of communication and representatives of extraterrestrial intelligence will be able to decipher this message.

Signal binary coding (the simplest form of mathematics and probably universal for all sentient species in the universe) and communication that is almost entirely focused on mathematics and physics.

Also, scientists in the message encrypted a request to send a response in order to start a galactic conversation.”
—————————————————————————————————————————-

Sending the message in English is not good enough so they’re using a binary code?

Or how about a digital photo?

What a waste. Why does everything have to be so over thunk with those people?

A map would be good too. Not a DNA starter draft…….sheeesh.

Why do we have to think that aliens are looking for interstellar food? If they have a civilization and an advanced science and can travel the cosmos, they should have the same curiosity as us to know if there is life on other worlds, not to destroy it or eat it just for the pleasure of doing so. ...

[[Especially when they see urban dwellers picking up their dog’s poop]]

Actually, we do,that to trick any aliens that might be watching. They see us picking up poo, and think it’s some precious resource because everyone does it, and then when they finally, get up enough courage 5o visit our planet, they will pick it up, look at it, smell it, and finally taste it, and then won’t we all get a great big belly laugh over it all by golly

Today’s scientists remind me of the Church during the Middle Ages.

They have a complex hierarchy and bureaucracy with bizarre and incomprehensible rules—and they torture heretics until they confess and promise obedience.

Boy, just wait until the aliens learn 2+2<>4 or can equal whatever you want it to be because 2+2=4 is "too white".

They aren’t biologists you know

That may be the single dumbest answer ever given to a question.

See, I never thought that. I a.ways thought they wanted to use our planet as a waste dump because their planet was getting too full. I say bring it on because apparently ourmplanet has only a very limited supply of fertilizer in Russia.

I do hope though that when they do come looking for intelligent life on earth, that the only door they knock on isn’t Maxine water’s door

More likely the aliens are even dumber.

They may only be viruses, amoebas, or pond scum.
