Four members of a French family fell to their deaths from a building in Switzerland shortly after police tried to execute a warrant at their home Thursday morning, authorities said.
The fatal victims included a 40-year-old man, his 41-year-old wife, her twin sister and the couple’s 8-year-old daughter. The couple’s 15-year-old son was seriously injured, police said.
All five plunged from their seven-story apartment building in Montreux around 7 a.m. after police knocked at their door to make an arrest in connection with the home-schooling of a child, police said.
Swiss media reports indicated that the family jumped from the building. But a police spokesman could not confirm if the family jumped or fell.

Shoulda just killed the the nasty pigs breaking into their home instead of themselves.
Pigs like that need killing.
Or it was murder-suicide. Getting your children to jump to their deaths is murder-suicide, but maybe the father or parents threw them.
It is impossible for me to believe that homeschooling would be outlawed in Tennessee anymore than it would be here in Georgia.

Of course that’s true — IF Tennessee were making the rules. If it were to be outlawed I can see it coming down via Federal law or mandate. They’d find a way to weasel their way into state schools to make it happen. Maybe a little like Federal OSHA over-reaching during Covid.
I’m going to say that they were at gun point and as they were walking backwards till the balcony ended and the swedishnazi’s kept coming at the Family possibly nudging with the muzzle of an MP5 until over the edge they went.
Once again I’ll reference James Forrestal “suicide” in the same week.
I sometimes think that grass roots activities with no leadership and no organization may come together in an overwhelming event to right many wrongs, such that functionaries will be sent reeling.
Hope the 15yo survives and recovers fully.
Maybe he can tell what happened. Right now, it sounds more like murder-suicide. So sad, especially for the little girl.
