Question. free rep
On iOS have to login each time on safari?
Are you logged in....to begin with 😬
Yes, my remember password works each time, but just annoying to have to do that each time
Not a mac guy, but do you have some sort of privacy mode on your browser (Safari, I assume) that doesn’t accept cookies? Or can you allow all cookies from freerepublic.com?
No. That only happens if I have to clear the cache on my iPhone, which happens like twice a year. I have a 7Plus which is driving me crazy lately, but I don’t like 12 & 13 either so I’m gonna wait a bit longer for a new one. Sigh.
In before some jerk like me says something disparaging about Apple products.
lol
Works fine on iOS/iPadOS here. Reboot the device?
Turn it off and turn it back on.
Is it plugged in?
Apple products are of a consistently high quality. People who prefer Microsoft or Google or Android only complain about Apple products because they own something else. Or they have never used Apple products. Very few actual Apple users ever complain about Apple products either the quality or the usefulness.
I run Safari on the iPhone and it logs in every time for me automatically. If I use a private browsing session, then I have to log in each time.
Turned iPad off.
Back on and FR site wants login…
I have never had to log in to FR, again, on Safari, once I’ve initially logged in.
“Or so the Germans would have us believe.”
This sounds like a situation for Swordmaker....our resident FR/Apple guru.
I have a 5 yr old iPad. I keep the software up to date (not implying that you don’t). If I reboot, or turn it off and on, I have to re-login. The same on my iPhone 11 Pro. If I accidentally close the tab that FR is open in and reopen FR, I’m still logged in.
Is this a Safari/iOS issue? Or is it perhaps a FR setting issue. On the FR login screen, check “most convenient” if you haven’t already.
I love my IPad and iPhone. Never had a problem with them.
They just work.
I was having deja vu re your post from a prior customer.
I’m getting numerous hits with the search string (no quotes)
‘safari settings remember logon’
Multiple factors, including OS and Safari version, but I think the answer is rather straightforward among those search results.
