Why is this happening?

Simple.

Corporations all across the nation have been grilled over the coals for a lack of diversity in their boardrooms. "We must have boardrooms that look like America!" is what is being beaten in to them.

So they create useless "Corporate Executive Officer of Diversity" positions to bring minorities into the fold.

And what do these new "CEO of Diversity" do? Well, they're not actually engaged in doing anything profitable so they come up with crap like this.

I hate to shop at Home Depot. For one thing everything is orange. It is disconcerting to say the least. Then they have everything you can imagine needing but nobody to answer questions. You are on your own. It sucks the life right out of me. Just walking in. Then they play 70’s and 80’s pop music but they interrupt after a minute of music to tell you not to let your kids run wild, or to tell you of some great things they are good at. You start enjoying annice ABBA song and a quarter of the way through the chorus comes the condescending voice.

I suggest going to the smaller Ace franchise whenever possible. The people will be easier to recognize when you go back.

Haven’t darkened their doors since I discovered Lowe’s and their 10% veteran’s discount. They even have parking places reserved for vets - and 2 Purple Heart spots.

I’m their customer from now on.

Just called the Home Depot store in Canada. The manager came on and was obviously very familiar with the issue. Real quick to say we can't offer comment and we are directing calls to our corporate office in Toronto.

Obviously they are getting phone calls.

The number, which is toll free on most cell phone carriers i the U.S., is 403 258-3800. Just put "0" when you get the voice prompt...I mean if you want to ring their phone off the hook.
