As a second generation Texan and offspring of butcher, I confess to using lentils in chili. No need to presoak, just add extra liquid. The texture does not distract from meat like most beans but adds benefits of fiber and other nutrients.

Never thought of using Lentils in Chili. Can I still add bacon? I’m still going to add bacon. ;)
