You can start reducing future problems now, by reducing sources of Omega-6 fat and increasing Omega-3 fats.
Monounsaturated and saturated fats do not directly affect that ratio, but replacing Omega-6 fat with either would help bring it down.

Olive oil is one of the highest in linoleic acid. It’s not an industrial seed oil and has been associated with many health benefits.
What gives?

I did a quick search, and found this article on REDUCING Omega-3 and INCREASING Omega-6, in diets....

It’s for a specific ailment, but....the guidelines of what to eat/avoid may be beneficial.

Anyone who uses soy, corn, sunflower, or cottonseed oil gets a lot of Omega-6 fat.
It’s hard to eat more Omega-3 fat, over Omega-6 fat.

Omega 6 and omega 3 fats should be reduced.
Omega 3 fats smell disgusting and people naturally avoid them.
The omega 3 PR is a scam to sell a waste product for billions of dollars.

Seed oils are high in omega 6 fats. People started using them because they were cheaper. They cause obesity and cancer.
As the percentage of fat in people’s bodies that is omega 6 fats increases, they break records on frequency of obesity and cancer.

Sardines packed in olive oil taste better and are healthier because they have less omega 3 fats.
The omega 3 fats move to the oil that you can throw away.

So eat more salmon and sardines (wild-caught is better, but farmed is better than nothing)and supplement. The generic Omega-3s at Costco and Sams Club are very cheap compared to the benefits - and priceless if they give you extra years of healthy life.
