The Battle in Mariupol Is Intense and Filled With Western Propaganda – Russian Military Fighting Ukrainian Azov Battalions and Ultranationalists in Eastern Region

The picture in Eastern Ukraine is becoming clearer as the residents begin being able to talk openly about the key battleground in Mariupol.

Keep in mind, the western narrative about the battles in Eastern Ukraine are all framed around calling the Ukrainian military, spearheaded by the Azov battalions and the ultranationalists, as the good guys. Nothing could be further from the truth. According to increasingly obvious reports, coming from ordinary citizens in/around Mariupol, the Ukrainian army has been using them as human shields and keeping them from evacuating.

There is a lot of war fog surrounding the conflict, however, it is the absence of any pro-Ukraine army sentiment from the local residents that supports the evidence the Ukraine military (Azov Nazi battalion, supported by U.S. and NATO alliance) are actually the bad guys in this region. The eastern region conflict has been ongoing for years, with Russia supporting the residents and the Ukraine military attacking them.

The Russian army has been fighting the Ukraine military in/around Mariupol while the Azov battalions have kept the citizens captive. However, the Russians are now surrounding the Ukraine military and slowly clearing each of the surrounding villages allowing the formerly captive people to leave or seek safety.

At least in this part of the conflict, the U.S. and NATO alliance is supporting the brutality against Eastern Ukrainian citizens by supporting the Nazi factions of the Ukraine military. There is a genocide happening in this region, but it is the Ukraine military, the far-right ultranationalists in the Azov battalions and others doing the killing, not the Russians.

If the residents in Eastern Ukraine do not align with the ultranationalist factions of the Ukraine military and fight the Russians, they are subjected to gross human rights abuses, beatings and threats against their families. Western nations are supporting this activity and deploying extreme propaganda messaging to cover it up.

> You keep that warm blanket and I’ll keep my backplate. /s <

I’m not quite sure what that means. But I’ve never seen the word “backplate” before. So I looked it up, and learned something new.

LOL The Russian military will kill anyone identified as a Ukrainian defender, with or without tattoos.

From the onset of the Russia- Ukraine war the media have tried to create a one sided narrative for the support of Ukraine. I’m for neither side. Let them handle it. If the limp waisted Euro girlie men want to intervene let them. Not one of our troops should become a casualty. I’m actually encouraging our younger folk not to enlist under this current regime!!! Never thought I would ever be doing this!

The Azov Battalion is estimated to be about 700 people prior to the war.

Not that big a deal other than for propaganda purposes by those trying to portray Ukrainians as Nazi’s.

Are the Ukrainians happy to let them fight Russians? Absolutely; “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”.

Zelenskyy is a Soros puppet.
With that in mind, Sundance’s observation comes into focus.

> I’m for neither side. <

Before the invasion I was actually quite sympathetic to Putin, as he had genuine security concerns about NATO expanding eastward. But then he invaded a sovereign country, and that changed everything.

It’s kinda like two guys arguing on a sidewalk. Who knows who’s right? Then all of a sudden one guy shoots the other guy, and maybe hits a couple of bystanders as well. Gun guy can now fairly be labeled as evil.

Yep. Trump had the situation under control. Putin was behaving. But now we have Brandon. Any (bad) thing is possible.

Bullsh*t. Who’s country is being attacked, and which country is attacking them? Which country is the aggressor?

This isn’t rocket science. No amount of spin can change the basic facts.

The Azov brigade is the Khazarian mafia. They need to be wiped out.

Somebody knows the score.

Stupid comment. There are Russians still alive that liberated more people with that tattoo than you did.

Looking at a map for ten seconds reveals that Russia has concentrated its efforts on taking a broad strip of Ukraine along the Sea of Azov, to create a land link from the Russian Federation to Crimea.

Mariupol has the misfortune to be a large city near the south of that corridor. Thus, it is strategically imperative to the Russians to take it. Russia desires to strip Ukraine of its coastline to deny it any opportunity to develop an oil & gas sector in competition with Russia’s.

Mariupol’s population is not all pro-Russian, but it does have a high concentration of people who speak Russian as a first language (40% plus), and who identify as Russian ethnically. In recent times it has voted for candidates usually identified as pro-Russian.

Russia claims to have unleashed the invasion in part to protect the rights of ethnic Russians living inside Ukraine’s political boundaries. Yet Russia is pounding the civilian population of Mariupol, showing this claim to be cynical. Speaking of cynicism, I have to wonder if those allegedly used as “human shields” tend to be the Russian part of the population. Have Ukrainian nationalists evacuated Ukrainians and left behind mostly Russians for the Russians to slaughter? I don’t claim to know. There is no trustworthy “news” about this calamity. I admire “Sundance” for speaking out boldly, and I agree that the West and our politicians have unclean hands in this. If he thinks he actually knows the truth of it all, he is mistaken.

“Sundance is blowing his credibility to smithereens over this.”

no kidding ... “the enemy is using their own citizens as human shields” is the most blatant propaganda (except in the mideast of course) ...
