University of Virginia swimmer Emma Weyant won second place in the women’s 500-yard freestyle championships, losing to a man, Lia Thomas. Many viewers took to social media to congratulate Weyant for actually winning first place.
A tweet by the University of Virginia (UVA) Swimming and Dive account, which congratulated Weyant — who attends UVA — for winning second place, “with the third-fastest time in UVA history.” Weyant also won a silver medal in last year’s Summer Olympics.
The university’s tweet garnered thousands of comments by social media users, many of whom correct UVA, and informed the school that Weyant had actually won first place out of all of the females who competed against her.
“I identify her as first,” one Twitter user quipped.

“All women should boycott women’s sports until the NCAA does it’s job.”
I’ve been saying the same thing but then it occurred to me that if the elite women boycott, other mediocre women or men will simply take their spots.
Now I’m thinking that within a year or so actual women probably won’t even place 2nd, third or fourth in these events. Maybe then people will start to see the light.
Where are all the women libs who screamed at us for decades about how women are better than men and now they say nothing when this MAN takes over women’s sports because he FEELS like a women?
If that is all it takes is for men to FEEL like a women then do not complain when they have the high paying jobs anymore-they probably feel like a women so it is OK. Just stop screaming at me and get rid of those stupid pink hats and vagina costumes. Evidentially they no longer matter. A man can keep his junk and still excel at womanhood.
One woman.
Two or more women.
Men are kicking butt winning all the women’s awards this year.
The woman who came first ...
There was a man in the race too ...
The NCAA is going allow freaks to destroy women's sports until women walk away from the NCAA. Forget negotiating, forget coercing the NCAA to change; women need to walk away and start new organizations if they want. Find new sponsors, broadcast events online, etc.
Yup, that Lia is one ballsy chick.
Spitt!
Great line. Has twitter deleted it yet? “ “I identify her as first,” one Twitter user quipped.”
Why can’t “William” be a girl’s name? Come on lefties, you can contort your pretzel logic better than that.
Ha, perfect. That name really needs to get around.
Lie ability -- a skill set only the dark side endeavors to master.
You are an optimist. Those that don't see it now will not allow their eyes to be opened.

If the women do, they need to put a rule in their bylaws that anyone with XY chromosomes is ineligible to participate.
“...However, if a man wants to compete in athletics as a woman, then he should have his penis and testicles removed and undergo hormone treatments.”
No. He needs to be told “no”.
Quite simple, really.
The dude’s first name is Will.
He was swimming laps in the pool during a womens competition.

Will Thomas is a good swimmer who couldn’t make the grade in Men’s swimming. So he changed his name to Lia, declared himself a woman, and began beating real women in swimming competitions.
The Good Lord above gave us DNA as a genetic marker and provided no way to change it. So Will, you can change your name, you can take women’s hormone to lessen your masculinity and you can compete with other women. But you were born a male, you’re a male now and you’ll die as a male. You know it and we know it. And apparently a lot of twitter users know it as well. Shame on you.
