Highly pathogenic and lethal avian influenza virus is now spreading across the U.S. and has now been discovered in both commercial poultry flocks and backyard flocks in 12 states in the U.S. including Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin, Newsweek reported.

A large flock of chickens infected with the deadly and contagious avian flu in Iowa and Wisconsin have been killed to contain the disease.

State and federal agencies said none of the birds nor any poultry products from flocks where avian influenza is detected will reach U.S. food supplies.

This happens quite a few years at this time of year. Migratory birds can spread it.

They had to kill 50 million several years ago due to bird flu.

It’s more than 5 million chickens destroyed in Iowa.

Happens from time to time. Iowa has 60 million or so chickens. And it’s just one state.

Yep, Americans eat 8 billion chickens per year. Having to cull 4 million won’t keep anyone from getting their McNuggets.

More concerning is a unusual and lethal pig disease that popped up in Central Iowa.
The bird thing happens quite a few years, but this pig disease is an unusual one. Hopefully it doesn’t turn into something big.

This is about the same amount of virus deaths in humans created by Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci.

Wow. I’m glad my sister in law and her family (living close to me) have a chicken coop! Their eggs are so fresh and tasty!

Most likely the pathogen was brought in from another country like Egypt or China.

Let me get this straight. Millions of chickens must be culled again and again because they ALL got very sick with a virus (or crap living conditions, whatever)? OR - Some are sick, and some “tested positive” but are asymptomatic. No matter, they must all DIE. To hell with the Food Supply!!!
I guess we should be very thankful to still be alive after so many tested positive for the Magic Cootie that we asymptomatics weren’t all nuked by Gates & Fauci... yet...

If this is haemorrhagic fever then it’s likely from the biolabs in the Ukraine. The vector are ticks which do hit birds.

There’s just something about that deep fried chicken from a squeeze tube -

“I’m glad my sister in law and her family (living close to me) have a chicken coop!”

I had chickens years ago in Boca Raton, FL before they became fashionable. The eggs were great! It took 9 months before the city finally showed up to make me get rid of them.

The other thing I had was citrus trees. One day, they came around, cut them down and hauled them away to prevent a citrus disease from spreading. Now I am wondering if backyard chickens are going to become a new vector for the spread of avian diseases. This should be interesting.

Before too long, meat is going to be too expensive for the middle class to eat. You have to wonder if that isn’t part of the plan.
