It is a Constitutional-given right. It doesn’t matter what she thinks the motivation was behind it, this nation is bound by it. If she doesn’t like it, follow the path setup by the Constitution and pass an Amendment to repeal it. If she doesn’t like that, then move to Australia, Great Britain, or some other nation with gun control laws that are more to her liking.
Actually, our rights are given by God, not through a grant by the government. The rights to exercise free will and to defend oneself are most definitely God given rights.
“It is a Constitutional-given right. “
sorry friend,
the Constitution doesn’t give rights.
It preserves your G_d given rights from infringement by the Feds.
“Arms” are proected from infringement.
I wonder if Sen Megan has a brother named Mike?
Over the public address, “Mike Hunt, please come to the office. Mike Hunt to the office please.”
The Constitution does not “give” Rights. The 2nd Amendment describes a God Given Right which the Constitutional government as described therein MAY NOT be taken away, and more precisely— A Militia (all of the People bearing arms) being necessary... the RIGHT of the People to Keep and Bear Arms shall not be infringed.
What this idiot state senator is doing by saying (and she is sworn under Oath NOT to do this) the Right is not God-Given— she is, in fact VIOLATING the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment. Period. She should be made to resign her State Senate position so that she can say all this shite as a private citizen not so foresworn.
WRONG!
The rights listed in The Bill of Rights (a separate document) are not GRANTED by the document, but AFFIRMED. These rights are God-Given (NATURAL) rights.
Read the actual documents, and the Federal Papers, and you will see exactly what the Founders did for their posterity. It is an amazing journey of discovery.
The Constitution, including the Bill of Rights, doesn’t give rights.
Those come from God.
What the Constitution does is enumerate those God-given rights and restricts the power of government to infringe upon them.
Our Constitution is unique in that it is the only one on the planet that exists to protect the citizenry from its governmemt.
It is not a ‘given’ Right. It is a ‘protected’ Right.
