Don’t laugh, this very thing could and can happen in the UK; they’re so rabid about handing out tickets it’s insane. They would have been ticketed by hired parking lot attendants who walk around Mall parking lots to see who or what they can ticket. If the sign says “ten minute parking” and if they were in front of the pickup window sitting their waiting their order and it went over ten minutes, dang sure an attendant would come running up writing a ticket.

Actually I often avoid long drive thru lines for this reason. If you have to wait 20 minutes in line then it seems the gas costs you as much as the meal. Sometimes I shut the car off if it seems to be taking a long time. The best thing to do is park and go inside.
