“Im ashamed to say a Genesis...hanging head.”
Very nice car. Bet your ‘gal’ likes it better than a ‘muscle’ car!
Son-in-law bought one, and loves it. However, when the inevitable recalls hit, the same dealer had no one trained on it, and other dealers saw no reason to do the recall work. Kids put the heat on the original dealer to do the recall work and the work done was shoddy at best, and they damaged other areas of the car. This included scratches to the paint that looked like it had been keyed (PO'd service tech?).
Kids bought another EV from a different manufacturer and are leery of the Ford service now. Nice car, but without the service to back it the deal becomes a crap shoot...
Do they put in a fake growl of an engine?
BUT CAN IT MAKE YOU FEEL ALL SMUG AND SNIDE WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD?.............
“Three problems: range, charging time, and US electric grid capacity.”
800 miles range with two, 15 minute charges.
Right now, we have excess capacity to charge overnight which is most of the charging.
They put playing cards in the wheel spokes............ First pack of 52 is free...................
“Do they put in a fake growl of an engine?”
Too lazy to read the article?
From Fords EV Division.
Might take a while................
ED is more like it.................
Now That one looks much better than the one in the article thread. From certain angles the one in the article looks like a mini suv. And the front looks much more generic looking than mustangs in the past.
You don’t think they can turn off your power as soon as you switch. How do you get rid of a million thousand pound lithium batteries?
I’ve read others and never have I seen an answer.
Do you know?
The socialist community ists love gleaming onto failed ideas and forcing everyone to participate, claiming thst past generations “just didn’t do,it right” and that “this time” will be different because this time “it will succeed”
How will they turn off the power to the EV? It’s not like I’d be paying for a cell service for the car to talk to cell towers. Besides, if they could do that to an EV they can do it to a gas car. It’s not like gas cars made in the past 30 years have zero electronics.
Oh. You’re probably talking about the “vehicle kill switch” that was in the “infrastructure” bill. Doesn’t that go into effect in 2026?

Two references in THIS article:
The Performance Edition accelerates like a slug out of a railgun, squatting slightly onto its rear wheels with just a hint of chirp from the fronts. No energy is wasted spinning tires; the Mach-E just goes, mashing its occupants into their seats and hurling itself forward without drama. The effect is even stranger if you disable the Mach-E’s electro-V8 fake engine noise — launching that hard in near silence can be a little weird.
Drivers have a choice of three modes to customize the Mach-E’s performance. Whisper, Engage and Unbridled roughly correspond to comfort, normal and sport, affecting the throttle response, regenerative braking, engine sound and — for the Performance Edition — the adaptive suspension settings.
There is also a setting to activate a one-pedal driving mode, which maximizes regenerative braking when lifting the accelerator, allowing the Mach-E to slow to a stop without touching the friction brakes.
