My Time with Covid-19
3/13/2022 | Me

Posted on 03/13/2022 5:35:02 PM PDT by ducttape45

Good evening everyone. I haven't been here in a while because I was infected with Covid-19 last month.

I had been ill since around Christmas time last year, but every test I took came back negative. I got progressively worse until, finally, on Jan 31st/Feb 1st I tested positive for Covid-19. I tried to ride it out the rest of that week but couldn't and I checked myself into the local hospital on Saturday the 6th of Feb. They admitted me and I spent the next six days being treated. I got the 5 day Remdesivir treatment and was also given many other medications; steroids, antibiotics, etc. In the end I came out on top. One thing that really helped me was using my CPAP machine that I used for my sleep apnea, doing breathing exercises, and ensuring that I didn't lay on one side or the other for too long of a time.

It's been a long road back and I could have just as likely died if not for the quick action and expert care I received. I'm still not 100%, perhaps 80-85%, but I'm getting my strength back as time progresses. My taste buds are all out of whack, and I haven't gotten my appetite back. Foods that I used to eat no longer appeal to me, or even taste good, and foods that I didn't once eat I now do, like cottage cheese. Whodathunk?

I'm typing this now because I got a burst of energy that I'm sure will leave as quickly as it appeared. But I wanted my friends here to know why I've been gone the past couple of months.

Thank you.

Some people are what they call long-haulers. It can take them a long time to come back from covid.

All you can do is keep taking your supplemnts, get lots of sunshine and fresh air. Do some deep breathing exercises to try and get back your breathing to capacity.

My mom took almost a year before she back to the level of health she was at before she got covid

“...I checked myself into the local hospital...”

I believe you’re lucky to be alive.

bless you. Thank you for sharing.

Those of us, like myself, don’t know the difficulty.

You’re great!

COVID can be nothing to scoff about for some. You lost three months of your life to it. I am just glad you are on the mend now. Stay well.

Get some ivermectin to keep on hand. Ivermectin saved my life from the vaxxine and it saved my wife from death by covid, twice.

Look up the FLCCC protocols for Long Haul Covid-19 Syndrome (LHCS)

Why did you decide not to use Ivermectin?

I hadn’t heard that Covid causes one to like cottage cheese. Weird.

I got it to and it took almost five weeks to be back at 100%.

I was already taking multi-vitamin, 500mg C, and 2000 D3.

I had NO HCQ or Ivermectin. About 2 1/2 weeks into it, I also added 500mg more C plus Quercetin, plus 30 more Zinc on top of the 15 from the multi.

I never had trouble with breathing.

The two symptoms that hit me hard were fatigue and no appetite.

I dropped down to 125 lbs. from around 134 at that time.

My SOLUTION: Eat all the best tasting foods you like that are not necessarily good for you. I ate...

Ice Cream
Breaded Coconut shrimp
Cheddar Cheese with saltines
Warm beverages like decaf coffee and maybe bullion and water with a little flavor in it.

I started packing pounds like crazy.

Today, I’m totally back and resistance/weight training three times a week plus three 6 mile runs a week or on treadmill at similar speed.

The big thing you MUST do is REST and forget about most responsibilities. Stress can really kill you.

I still dream of those ice cream, cheese, candy bar days fondly now. Makes me hungry now that I think of it, but I’m back securely on a good protein, good fat, low-sodium, low LDL diet.

It was like a brief fling with that exciting passionate woman, but then back to the one that really cares about you.

:-)

Wow. My wife who works at a nursing home finally brought it home to the rest of us. I already had everything for the Zelenko/FLCCC protocol but got her the monoclonal infusion because she qualified and it was readily available here in rural MO. I did the full protocol including horse paste and she did everything but the Ivermectin and the kids, 18 & 20 got nothing.

Mild flu for wife and I and mild cold for the kids. Went through the four of us in 3-4 weeks, overlapping. Wife and I were near done by the time the kids were affected. Been good ever since.

Glad you are better! What a long haul! Hope you continue to improve.

My taste comes and goes and some types of foods are tasteless still. Seems to be connected to sinuses. Had COVID the whole month of January.

Well done! Glad you’re improving.

I didn’t get the shot- I work in a hospital and was a day away from getting terminated when they accepted my exemption.

Two years, exposed constantly and didn’t get it until 2 weeks ago. Go figure. I’ve taken D3K2, C, zinc since 2020. When I tested positive I started taking NAC (Thorne supplements) 2x daily and I began feeling better within 24 hours. Lots of water and pedialyte. Lost taste/smell for 7 days..gradually came back. I don’t have the lung capacity that I did before covid, but am continuing with NAC for now, and breathing exercises.

It’s funny- the people in my office that got really sick from covid had all been vaxed- unvaxed had mild cases.

It’s a weird virus- we all seem to have different reactions.

I hope your recovery is smooth and you get stronger each day. God bless...

I tested positive to COVID last week and while not as bad as what you had it (I managed to avoid needing hospital by the slimmest of margins) it has been the pits. The fatigue, the breathlessness, the headaches, the loss of smell and taste... It’s not the worst illness I’ve had but it’s the worst for the sheer misery.

I’m glad you made it through and hope you get back to 100% soon enough.

Glad you’re still among us!

I tested positive for Covid on January 7th and it took me a good six weeks to feel relatively normal again. I had it in March 2020 as well, long before testing or meds were available, and it took me six weeks to recover from that episode.

In between the two episodes I had started all the recommended vitamins & supplements, including ivermectin & hydroxychloroquine. So I was surprised that I got it again after 22 months, although it didn’t progress to pneumonia or worse. I’m very thankful for that, especially since my brother and brother-in-law both died from Covid & pneumonia in January. 😢

Glad to hear you beat it. It’s a life altering virus for some. My wife and I had it last Feb. We both felt like we stayed up all night for about 10 days. I lost my sense of smell. My wife lost her taste. To this day she has a hard time with things tasting bad. I will tell her about cottage cheese. Any other things that taste good let us know. We just did a watermelon cleanse and she could taste things for a few days but it’s fleeting. She is saying she may do it a few days out of the month to see if it brings her taste back. It’s pretty simple. Eat nothing but watermelon for 3 days. It resets your body. Supposedly. Happy wife and happy life. Lol.
