In the 1950s downtowns were the place to go to shop. You were safe. Then stores went to area shopping centers and downtowns deteriorated. Shopping centers were supplemented by malls and malls became the place to be. Then the individuals who had destroyed downtowns discovered the malls, and the malls went downhill fast.

I have not been in a mall in about 5-6 years.

The Fresno mayor stated that its citizens should be able to shop in a mall without having to worry about some teenagers stabbing them to death.

You know there is only one federal solution to this rampant problem across the country: Ban all knives (even dining utensils). Maybe a Republican candidate can be just like Michael Douglas in that movie, The American President, in which the U.S. President runs for reelection by promising Americans that he's "going to get the guns." Well, maybe President Trump can win in 2024 by promising Americans he's "going to get the knives." (Problem solved!)
