I worked in Oman for a year. They are nasty creatures. Do not F with then and they will not F with you. Give then access to water and they will love you.
Whew...must have been scary! As this article points out, you can wake up and not know you are going to be dead by the end of the day.
We’ve had a few moose run across our property in Idaho. We give them a WIDE berth!
What a coincidence, I saw Roosevelt elk in the fry pan for breakfast today.
Do you know what day it is?
Not hump day, the day to get stomped by a camel.
Very good....
Awful. RIP.
I have a client who has camels on her land in N. Texas. Yeah, I don’t know why. They are males and she says they hate men. They’re ok with women.
Did it do that slimy snake tongue thing to your head?
No, it was behind a tall fence in the indoor enclosure and it hocked a big loogie of breadball right at me. I took it right in the face, and dozens of people were laughing while I was bawling. My mom and aunt wiped my face off but we had to leave, and I swore that one day I'd kill every last one of the damned things if I ever got the chance. Useless, stupid animals. I don't think there's an animal on that continent that ever served a useful purpose to the rest of the world.
This should bring on a thread about favorite camel guns. I prefer a .437/779 Chutney Bobcat double rifle. My latest one only set me a minute £237,000 at Berwick and O’Leary’s double emporium.

I’ve worked with a couple camels and a few other cameloids. I’ve never had real problems with any of them, but I respect their power.
I did witness one get on his knees and bite the nuts off a horse.
Lots of Darwin opportunities there.
On a semi-related note, I grew up riding and racing off-road motorcycles. While I have ridden horses, I was never really comfortable with the whole thing. They have minds of their own and are big and powerful. Motorcycles go where you point them.
My brother was like you, while I was riding my horses through trails in the mountains most every day.
They have lost their business.
They roam the residential areas of Estes Park ......a lady came out her front door and was attacked.
They own the place.
We camped at Estes Park, and they were wandering around, not afraid.
one hump or two?
I’ve never seen a camel at a petting zoo. Why did they have one?
That is hysterical !!! Why are you so bitter?
