It’s 62 degrees here now and sunny, and around noon it was probably a lot warmer. We’ve had several days like that lately, hit almost 70-something this past week.

We like to be outside after a long, cold spell. Especially when it’s going to be snowing and freezing again tomorrow.

I was just going to write the same thing. Especially since the “Bombogenesis” coming tomorrow.

People who can be outside like to be outside, no matter the temperature! And most people in DC appear to have been forced outside anyway.

I had a wonderful outside evening meal…sort of appetizers or small plates and wine or beer, kind of a happy hour European style…at a cafe in Prague where we were all sitting at tables or on benches along the wall under heat lamps…and draped in blankets supplied by the restaurant. It was wonderful.

So eating outside is fine. I’d like to know more details on this incident. However, I do think cities should put barriers of some sort, such as nice looking metal posts that rise from the ground but can be retracted for street cleaning or even concrete barriers, which could have planters on top and actually be attractive but protective as well. This was done after 9/11 and some terrorist vehicle attacks, but it seems to have faded away. Bring it back!

Must be nice. Where I live in the midwest we haven’t nudged above 20 all week. Then again taxes are quite a bit lower.
