The British Finally Came In And Fixed The Mustang. Engineers in the UK have created 499 fully electric Mustangs, and I want one.

Do you ever look at the original Ford Mustang and find yourself wishing it had a little more — maybe a little spark? Well good news, engineers in the UK have heard your prayers and fixed the Mustang by giving it electric power. And, I love everything about it.

This magical new creation comes from a small engineering firm called Charge Cars. It seems like the firm has seen your bloated Mustang Mach-E and decided we all need this absolute stunner instead.

Called the Electric Mustang by Charge Cars, the new EV uses an “official licensed” shell that the firm claims preserves the “classic design and styling of the legendary Ford Mustang.”

As a result, it looks fantastic. The show car that Charge has debuted pairs the classic Mustang lines, which have been finished in a gorgeous piano black, with matte 14-spoke rims. At the rear, the car retains the Mustang’s trio of tail lights, while LEDs add a modern twist to the front end.

As well as all of this restomod loveliness, Charge Cars has fitted a 64 kWh battery pack and all-wheel-drive. This means the new electric Mustang has a range of 200 miles and will do zero to 60 in 3.9 seconds thanks to its 400kW of peak power.

A photo of the interior of the Charge electric Mustang. I want my house to look like this. Photo: Charge Cars All that electrical tech powering the car is thanks to Charge’s partnership with EV manufacturer Arrival. That firm has also been working with Uber to create a fleet of electric taxis.

So far, we’ve got stunning 60s styling paired with futuristic performance in the Electric Mustang by Charge Cars. But that’s not all, the firm has also gutted the interior and filled it with all the trimmings you’d expect from a modern EV.

As well as “bespoke” leather seating and interior trim, the new Mustang also features a large screen in place of the center console. Instead of a cluster of gauges, Charge Cars has also added a second screen that shows your speed, range and state of charge.

It looks like such a beautiful place to be. Honestly, I love everything about this car.

Sadly, the cost of all this loveliness doesn’t come cheap. Charge Cars puts a starting price of £350,000 on the new EV, which is $460,000 over here. Plus there will no doubt be extra costs for whatever options you’d like to pile onto your gorgeous new Mustang.

Replacing the gas-powered running gear of old cars is not new and is something I’d gladly advocate for if it encourages more classics out onto the road.

. But, the Electric Mustang by Charge Cars seems like a new interpretation of the formula. And it’s one that I am wholeheartedly standing behind.

That’s 2 stations for what, a 20 plus unit apartment complex? Assuming 1 1/2 EVs per apartment (some one vehicle tenants some two) that’s about 45 minutes charging time per unit, if everyone times everything correctly. Not sure I would want the 3am slot. But you could install more, concrete to rip up, lines to run, curb stops, etc. who’s paying for that?

ROTFLMAO! Ridiculous assumption.

Presently about 3% are EV’s. 20 x .03 = 0.6 so they have double the expected need and can add more chargers as needed!

Henry Ford was pushing Model-T’s off the assembly line before the first service station was built.

I don't know what BTHO means....

But you are known to many here....

Why don't you PROVE you had not one but two...cars on the ship that sunk.

You won't because you can't. Because you DID not have two cars on that ship.

Gonna just call you Little Mr. Red Boots from now on....

The consumer always pays.

Who pays for the gas station?

Who pays for the tanker truck?

Who pays for the refineries?

Who pays for the oil rigs?

So step right up and write the check for those additional chargers as needed. If not you, then the renters, then taxpayers. Do you think those things are free?

Should be easy to do....Bills of Sale's shipping papers...etc.

You won't because you can't.

“Non Sequitur”

A Latin phrase does not make you smart, knowledgeable or anything else. Are you going to write the check?

Nobody put a gun to the head of auto buyers back in Henry Ford’s day. The public wanted cars, so entrepreneurs took the risk and opened filling stations, with no government intervention.
Greenies and the government are pushing EV’s on a reluctant public, even going so far as to curtail oil production here, sending the price of gas sky high, forcing people to go EV’s . Yes, that sounds like a good plan if you are a leftist.

I guess we shouldn’t have any boats either since apartment dwellers have no place to park them.

Apartment dwellers with boats board them in marinas (been there, done that)......

Those with trailered boats store them in off site locations such as a friend or even at a marina since most apartment complexes forbid trailers of any kind.

Another epic fail but nice try........

Then you must have seen my many posts such as:

Actually I haven't but that is hilarious! One EV charger for how many potential EV's?

You should have mentioned that that is a new building and the single EV station was built to accommodate how many?

You still haven't addressed how the existing apartment complexes with hundreds of units are going to be able to supply the mandatory government EV's with the chargers needed to keep their EV's running......

Henry Ford was pushing Model-T’s off the assembly line before the first service station was built.

Kinda misleading. It doesn't take a leap in logic to recognize that gasoline had to be routinely obtainable before an ICE automobile could be made and/or purchased.

Gas could be had at grocery, hardware, and general stores as well as various trade locations, like blacksmith, machine, and various lubrication shops that supplied oil and grease for locomotives, steam engines, etc. When a long or remote road-trip risked the availability of fuel, the daring drivers would pack their own gasoline, strapping cans on running boards.

Bowser and Tokheim, inventors of fuel pumps, both were pumping kerosene and gasoline before the Model T came on the scene in 1908. Tokheim was the first to develop a metered pump specifically for fuel in 1901 and Bowser was pumping kerosene before 1890.

Ford couldn't have, or wouldn't have, launched the Model T until he was certain the infrastructure could support it.

Now it's the other way around - automakers cranking out EV's without adequate infrastructure to support them with Uncle Sugar offering rebates and issuing mandates that we're all gonna drive the damned things.
