“And I want one.”
You’re such a patriot!
How do the British get an electric car to leak oil?
“But with a BATTERY? That takes HOURS to charge? “
Most charging is done at night while sleeping. But if needed, Tesla batteries can charge 200 miles range in 15 minutes.
It is a beautiful car, but $460K for a 200mi range indicates the beauty is only skin deep.
Cool, I’m getting a freight train then.
Good point! I think diesel electric is used for trains because it is highly efficient, too. It may be that you have to be, literally, the size of a freight train, though to get enough power out of the generator. If a train tried to start/stop like a car, also, I expect the efficiency would be lost, as well, and you’d be back to a direct drive diesel.
Frankly, SOME battery plus a generator is perhaps optimal for a car. Response torque plus endurance efficiency.
Limeys will find a way....................
That’s one of the photos from the article.............
This must be the Pete Buttplug edition Mustang
“My Cadillac CTS-V was only $100K, does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, top speed of 200 MPH, Range is Over 300 miles and takes 5 minutes to fully Recharge the Fuel Tank”
Tesla Plaid 0-60 in less than 2 seconds.
“classic design and styling of the legendary Ford Mustang.”
Just wish they would tell us \which\ classic lines are being revived.
This one revives the 2+2 styling, not the original style of 64.1/2 or the Boss/Mach ‘beefy shoulders’ styles.
With ‘Stangs, style is relevant and not just a toss-off comment.

Mine but in Metallic Gray:
I need more than a 200-mile range, and I don’t need to go 0-60 in 3.9 seconds.
Ha, ha. My semi-old 2005 Jag-u-ar S-Type has reliable wiring. Jaguar was owned by Ford in those days, so maybe that has something to do with it.
That must really cut a lot of time off the daily commute.
These have always been my favorite Mustangs and this one is nicely improved:

“takes 5 minutes to fully Recharge the Fuel Tank”
Good one. I’m using it. Thank you.
I’d love to see you put that (est) top speed to the test.
