Oh no. Another nuclear apocalypse bomb cyclone typhoon civilization ending storm never encountered in all of recorded history or just another annual Northeastern snow storm. This storm will have “heavy snow” which will crush cars or simple New Englanders not heeding the warning.

Bomb cyclone? I took a few meteorology courses and worked for surfline.com back in the 80’s and never heard of bomb cyclone.

Lol…. Forecasting the weather! My corner of the world now is the NC mountains of Cherokee County, NC. This is what I get out of the weather forecasts at the cabin.
It will snow or rain or not. It will at least black ice the roads, pretty confident of that. It will blow a lot or a hell of a lot. It will get damn cold, especially with the wind chill being below zero F.
So, I'll fill my gas tank on the truck. Make a grocery run. Top up the battery on my head lamp, already have batteries for the flash light and have candles. Got long johns, parka and a down sleeping bag. Good to go. No electricity, no problem, just an annoyance.

A couple of weeks ago I was down to just a few days worth of firewood for the stove and decided to save it in case it got very cold again. Glad I did.
