Vonelle Cook was angry about his service at a Dunkin’ in Tampa last May, so the 77-year-old marched into the store, berated the manager and called him the n-word, according to police.
The manager, Corey Pujols, 27, is Black — and he told Cook not to say it again.
But Cook did anyway, so Pujols swung a right hook, hit Cook in the jaw and knocked the septuagenarian unconscious, causing him to fall and hit his head on the floor, according to an arrest affidavit.
Three days later, Cook was dead, according to court records obtained by WTVT.
Pujols was originally charged with aggravated manslaughter, a crime that carries a maximum of 30 years in prison. But on Monday, a judge sentenced Pujols to two years of house arrest followed by three years of probation, as well as 200 hours of community service, after Pujols pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of felony battery.
An autopsy found that the fall resulted in a skull fracture and brain contusions, WTVT reported. The death was ruled a homicide, and Pujols was arrested on the manslaughter charge.

Did we really need to know that? How about "This guy hit an old man and caused him to die a few days later?"
Isn't that the actual relevant detail?
For years they've found people guilty of murder, even decades later sometimes, if they injure someone and that injury eventually leads to a death.
And so the Washington Liar Post wants us to focus on the "well he had it coming" aspect of this?

Try merely boot out rioters with a rifle without killing them, and you will not have a house to do house arrest…
As far back as the late 1960s, I can remember black athletes making this claim after they attacked referees or white players.
Did anyone besides the killer hear the n-word used?

Not a lawyer but I used to watch Matlock a couple of times so here’s my half baked analysis: There’s a principle that’s been recognized by the courts since the 1940s about “fighting words” not being protected speech and can be regulated because they are so inflammatory as to directly invite conflict. SCOTUS keeps changing the definition of what “fighting words” are every time it comes up but I’d imagine some judge took the concept into mind when sentencing this guy to two extra years of COVID lockdown. However the point of the fighting words is not to immunize individuals who respond violently to them, it’s to allow laws to restrict said speech in the first place. Basically they dead guy could be charged with hate speech but the killer can’t say “he had it coming” and escape consequences. Yet that’s what appears to have happened here with this light sentencing.
According to the Washington Post, it is OK if you are black. But then every Washington Poster knows that blacks can’t be held to the behavioral standards that whites are held to, because, well, they are lesser beings. You know, less intelligent and incapable of restraining themselves. All my liberal friends say so!
