Sky's Special Correspondent Alex Crawford speaks to former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who said 'don't trust Putin' over reports of humanitarian corridors.
He added that the UK government should be adding new sanctions against Russia 'every single day' and urged people not to buy Russian gas.

Don’t vote for Trump…he’ll only facilitate what you are experiencing under Biden.
Trump and Putin are colluding…
That is separate from the propaganda and sob stories and pro-war rhetoric in the US by Ukrainians and their agents.
By the way, have the Vindman twins gone home to Ukraine to help defend their precious homeland? I bet not.
In 2016, Victoria Nuland encouraged Ukraine to start prosecuting corrupt officials: “It’s time to start locking up people who have ripped off the Ukrainian population for too long and it is time to eradicate the cancer of corruption”.
GREAT!
She also encouraged European allies to take a harder line on Russian expansionism while serving as the Department of State’s diplomat on the Ukraine crisis.
VERY APPROPRIATE
Numan is quotes as saying in 2016, during the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Hearing that it was importand for U.S. diplomatic outreach to the former Soviet Union and efforts to build a constructive relationship with Russia. Especially because Russia’s 2014 invasion of Ukraine: “shattered any remaining illusions about this Kremlin’s willingness to abide by international law or live by the rules of the institutions that Russia joined at the end of the Cold War.”
ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT & ESSENTIAL
Nulan stated importance of four essential aspects of the U.S. foreign policy towards Russia:
1- Stop further aggression through showing strength and unity of allies.
2- Build strength & reduce vulnerability Allies facing Russian pressure and coercion.
3- Support core national security priorities when U.S. interests and Russia and U.S. are in agreement.
4- Maintain ties to the Russian people and business community for potential toward a more constructive future relationship.
WISE SUMMATION OF IMPORTANT PRINCIPLES OR US.S FOREIGN POLICY WITH R.F.
On January 24, 2018, Nuland was concerned voiced a concern regarding American isolationism: “When we withdraw and say it’s every nation for itself, you open the door for countries dissatisfied with their territorial position and influence in the international system — or with the system itself.”
Instead, a whole-government response was invaluable to international issues: “Military leaders would be the first to say military solutions alone result in more and longer military entanglements. The role of American diplomats and political leaders is to work concurrently with the military to bring to bear all of the political tools we have.”
CORRECT ASSESSMENT
Nuland supported President Trump when he began new high-level engagements with Russian government officials in 2018. President Trump scheduled a meeting with Russia’s top general Valery Gerasimov and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Curtis Scaparrotti. Nuland said: “These channels are especially vital at a time when relations at the leader level are so unpredictable.”
Nuland believed was Scaparrotti was “uniquely positioned” to address concerns about Russia’s “ongoing military role in Ukraine, and R.F.’s INF treaty violations, actively acting to undermine Transatlantic democracies and the strategic tensions for US and its allies to take stronger deterrent measures.”
I BELIEVE THE THINKING OF NULAND WERE AND ARE ON POINT.
Our present reality was only delayed by 4 yrs, by Trump’s election.
This was the plan in 2013/14, or before.
You could see it being laid out/implemented soon after Obama’s re-election in 2012.
Ukraine has been at the centre of it all…
You forgot to mention the Atlantic Council and Biden’s extortion when Shokin started to investigate corruption.
Lots of Biden lickers here. Our values are gay marriage, trannies in womens’ sports, stolen elections, governmental tyranny, excessive taxes and inflation, excessive crime, and rampant corruption. Let them fight over that.
What? Did you watch the video? This video is former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
Putin is evil
obama administration backed a coup and allowed Biden corruption
Ukraine involved themselves US elections
Biden administration promised what they couldn’t deliver
Ukraine was deceived by Obama and Biden administrations
Putin is evil
All can be true at the same time…it’s not an either/or
YOU SPOUT PUTIN PROPAGANDA,
1941 - Ukraine suffers terrible wartime devastation as Nazis occupy the country until 1944.
More than FIVE MILLION UKRAINIANS DIED FIGHTING Nazi Germany. Most of Ukraine’s 1.5 million Jews are killed by the Nazis.
1944 - Stalin deports 200,000 Crimean Tatars to Siberia and Central Asia following false accusations of collaboration with Nazi Germany.
1991 - Ukraine declares independence following attempted coup in Moscow.
1990s - About 250,000 Crimean Tatars and their descendants return to Crimea following collapse of Soviet Union.
On 21 November 2013, then-president Viktor Yanukovych suspended implementation of an association agreement with the European Union.
2013 Yanukovych decision resulted in mass protests by pro-Europeans known as the “Euromaidan” or the “Revolution of Dignity”. After months of such protests, the Ukrainian parliament IMPEACHED Yanukovych on 22 February 2014.
2014 After months of such protests, Putin’s puppet, Viktor
Yanukovych ran away to Moscow in the middle of the night.
The Ukrainian parliament IMPEACHED Yanukovych on 22 February 2014.
2014 April - Pro-Russian armed groups seize parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions on Russian border. Government launches military operation in response.
2014 May - Leading businessman Petro Poroshenko wins presidential election on pro-Western platform.
2014 July - Pro-Russian forces shoot down Malaysian airliner over eastern Ukraine conflict zone, killing all 298 people on board.
So, neo-Nazism is a Ukrainian value? Because that’s who is on the frontlines of all this — the neo-Nazi Azov battalion.
If you saw the video, you would realize Poroshenko told Sky News because reporter was there on sie. He even warned her of the danger.
Ignore the Russian disinformation psych-ops... exists even on Free Republic. In the past, one freeper actually bragged about his brother was a Russian soldier,
THAT IS TOTALLY FALSE
AGREE.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSIGHT
Okay, not even the Vindman twins have gone, so don't feel too bad that you want to armchair propagandize for war.
What is occurring is bad, but not so bad, not our problem enough to justify us going to war. A lot of handwringing is about it.
There was a great article on the topic that I read over the weekend--worth a read. Yes, it is Marcus Marby at CNN but take a moment to read anyway: https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/03/opinions/realpolitik-putin-ukraine-mabry/index.html
Getting real tired of the way you talk to Freepers, troll.
More so than what is happening in Ukraine--even the Germans are still buying Russian oil--I think China and Taiwan will be the real test and challenge. There we've had some form of commitment to help or defend Taiwan. Do we go to war? What kind of direct war can we do with China without going nuclear? And will Americans still buy Chinese-made products while we might be fighting and dying? And even short of war, will Americans give up Chinese-made products in solidarity with Taiwan? Sadly, I doubt it.
And you spout nothing but selective pro-Ukrainian points. So what?
