Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) doubled down on his call for Russian President Vladimir Putin to be assassinated in the wake of Moscow’s military invasion of Ukraine during a Monday interview with TMZ.
INTERVIEWER: You’ve been courageous in calling out Putin when many people want to say it but haven’t said it. Have you been surprised by the feedback that you’ve gotten from it?
SEN. LINDSEY GRAHAM: Yeah. I think most Americans understand that Putin is a war criminal, and the sooner he’s gone, the better. The only way this ends in a sustainable fashion is for the Russian people to take him out. I’m not asking for American boots on the ground, but I want to help Ukraine with military assistance and equipment. Putin’s gotten away with murder for 20 years. Enough is enough. He’s got to go.

Graham is not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. Most dictators survive military defeats. Kim Il-sung not only died in bed - he passed the throne on to his son, Kim Jong-il. Ditto with Hafez Assad, who lost repeatedly to Israel, then withdrew after failing in his attempt to annex *Lebanon*, but survived to hand his throne to Bashar Assad.

Putin is more popular than any European leader. Most Russian goods are made in Russia. And energy is made in Russia. So how is the Ruble falling going to hurt his popularity. In Russia under Putin, crime is down, inflation is down, standard of livings are up, employment is up. You can’t disconnect Russia once then expect it to hurt if you disconnect him a second time. He doesn’t care. His people don’t care. Americans and Europeans will be hurt far more.
