Appropriate title for commie chinese appeasing filmers
I take it that is NOT referring from turning liberal blue to patriotic deplorable red.
They are normalizing what were supposedly going after Epstein's clients over.
Wow, puberty as some novel thing. Last I checked, we all went through it.
Now if it was about a Canadian-Indian girl with a bad habit of inappropriate cackling, and only being two-dimensional, it could be the biopic of our current Veep.
I see a marketing opportunity for Disney!
Sounds like another one I can miss.
“About an eighth grader ‘in the throws’ of puberty.”
This film is going to have limited appeal once the word gets out. There may be a Novelty component to it, where a film is so peculiar and unappealing, that people assume that equals a
“profound” work.
**The first film to feature a Sanitary Napkin being given out!
Is this what the world has been waiting for or what?
So, it is a remake of ‘Carrie”? Lot of “Red” in that one lol
As opposed to "throes", I guess.
Poor Jake - writes for AP, and stupid, to boot.
The problem is while you can write a book for a niche audience doing a movie is a lot harder.
Who is this movie aimed at?
Who can relate to it?
Basically it is aimed at girls around the age of 11-14.
Not big spenders or movie goers.
And while things like "Toy Story" tap into adult nostalgia for our childhood NO ONE wants to relive puberty even vicariously.
Article written by an illiterate. Malaprop much?
e.g. “throws (sic) of puberty”
“Throws” of puberty.
WTH is that? Where the heck are the editors?
Throes.
I used to adore Pixar stuff. Good storytelling, high quality.
Then, they went woke, and disgustingly so. I won’t even watch their stuff now.
My wife recently checked out a Disney movie from the local library with the caveat “I know you don’t like Disney or Dwayne Johnson...” and to be a good husband, I sat with her to watch it. (The movie was “Jungle Cruise”. She doesn’t see things the way I do.)
I got up and left to do something else pretty early on. Right off the bat, the two main characters, a man and a woman team were trying to steal something from a museum, and he was so obnoxiously effeminate, afraid, and incapable of anything, traveling with many trunks of clothes and such, that I was repelled.
Then, at one point the character states in conversation that he broke off a number of engagements as his “interests happily lay elsewhere”.
That’s it. I sat down against my better judgement to watch it with her and got that crap. I just got up and left to go in another room and read a book.
That’s a hard pass for me
“Throws pf puberty”.
It’s “throes”, you lackwit alleged journalist.
CC
Another movie that’s going to fail.
“‘in the throws’ of puberty.” Stylebook much AP?
