Astute businesswoman Suzanne Somers revealed in a new interview that her ThighMaster has earned her a massive chunk of change over the years.
“Well, I grew up poor, and I live a good life,” the “Three’s Company” alum, 75, coyly told hosts Dax Holt and Adam Glyn on the “Hollywood Raw” podcast Wednesday.
Somers then provided more exact figures, sharing, “It’s $19.95 x 10 million [products sold], so you kind of do the math, and we’re probably at 15 million now.”

Good for her! I have always thought of her as America’s Sweetheart.
A relative of mine knew her dad. Relative said he was a very nice guy. IIRC, Suzanne has bashed the man as a drunk. Both characterizations could be true.
They’ve never met but she’s my wife’s second cousin.
Many "show persons" could take a page from one of her books.
That’s a shame that they have never met. I have a sister that I wish I had never met, though. She’s a Commie that I have no doubt had a hand in the 2020 Election Theft.
“..It vibrates!”
smart cookie.
I don't know if it was a good decision, but she didn't ave a big movie career, and I don't think she was a TV star at that level again.
She looks fabulous for her age. She had cancer and got into the nutrition and health kick after. She’s very involved in hormones as well. She’s a believer in them. I’m convinced that is the main reason for her youthfulness.
Don’t get me started on family. My brothers daughter disinvited my mom, her grandmother to to her wedding.
Her 81 year old grandmother (who’s dealing with memory issues) had the nerve to forget the little skank’s fiancés name.
Of course she never bothered to drive fifteen miles to introduce her fiancé to grandma.
(We didn’t get invited either, but truly don’t care)
I told my mom that this girl is going to have to live with her selfishness for decades.
I read how Lisa Kudrow from Friends was the one who actually negotiated the $500K per episode salaries for the Friends cast. She basically gave NBC a take it or leave it offer, because she and the rest of Friends were prepared to walk.
That was my first thought.
Good for her!
Yep. Now often do you make it big and then you really take off? The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) is one of the recent stars. I think it’s more difficult nowadays. Too many entertainment options.
Wonder what her cut of the $19.95 is.
My grandfather's second cousin was Zasu Pitts. No, really.
“I don’t know if it was a good decision, but she didn’t ave a big movie career, and I don’t think she was a TV star at that level again.”
S. Somers got another series, Step by Step, which ran for about 6-7 years after Three’s Company was dropped.
Nor can I say whether it was a good decision, but know that actor salaries from that era were nowhere near what they were for top-rated shows aka Friends, Seinfeld, etc. None of this $1 MM/episode stuff. [When Three’s Company began its fifth season in late 1980, Somers demanded a hefty salary increase from $30,000 to $150,000 an episode and 10 percent ownership of the show’s profits.] She and husband Alan Hamel are principal investors in the product, it’s not like she only gets a small royalty per unit. She might have been shown projected sales for the Thighmaster and made a better than average decision.
That is standard operating procedure in the modern world of step children.
She negotiated $ONE MILLION per episode.
