People have spent enormous fortunes ‘indulging’ a tasteful, personal love of true art.
I have no problem with that - I think it’s a good way to spend excessive wealth. A lot of what they’ve done has wound up as national treasure.
But this ‘home’ is just trash.

No need to apologize! I would prefer ‘understated elegance’. This is so way over the top that it is indeed quite vulgar. In very bad taste.
