Concierge Auctions, which handled the sale, told the Los Angeles times that more than three dozen prospective buyers toured five-acre property in the last couple of months, including billionaires from across the US, Middle East and Asia.
However, when the auction opened on Monday, only five bidders from the US and New Zealand made offers on the 'white elephant' superhome, with the winning buyer remaining unidentified until paperwork is submitted to a U.S. Bankruptcy Court next week.

I really is ugly, looks like just another commercial building. Like a big medial office building.
Interesting the big price drop.
Probably bought by the state to house illegals.
Sorry, I don’t think it’s stylish or sophisticated at all.
It’s just some nouveau riche notion of what’s supposed to be ‘trendy’. Even the art is boring and meaningless and looks like some interior designer bought it wholesale.
I’m not against ‘modern’, but this doesn’t show any real concept or genius at all.
This aint squat. Ever been to the biltmore estate? You could ride Harley’s in The halls, camp out with 2 or 3 friends in some of the fire places. They have a room just for flower vases! 😃
For the curious theres a pretty nice tour of it right here

its absolutely gigantic but the individual rooms themselves are kinda meh for the price and what you would expect for a typical home. So what you are buy is a huge load of middle class living space with amenities.
I’ve never understood why someone would want a house you need a golf cart to get around. Beautiful setting though.
There’s a utube video on it. You couldn’t pay me to live in that dump. Excess for the sake of excess. Cold, not thought out. Maybe some kind of over-the-top hotel.
I wouldn’t even want it for a Zen meditation retreat...
Many families could easily live there.
Shades of Dr. Zhviago.
Russian oligarch checks are bouncy these days...
“someone would have to be a moron to buy that in California”
Property tax on this thing starts at $2,520,000.00 per year.
These are a bit more reasonable:

It makes me feel badly to see people have to live in such squalor.
Bad time to not allow Russian Billionaires to not be able buy.......
Damn! Could’ve been mine if FHA hadn’t taken so darned long with all their f… paperwork !
Let me guess who the bidders were: Biden, Putin, Xi, Clinton, and Soros.
Concrete Slab
Reminds me of the mansion on Scarface..
