The two-minute video, titled “Cislunar Highway Patrol System (CHPS)” and uploaded by the US Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) this week, details the project.
Details on the planned project are sparse. The CHPS is a “spaceflight experiment designed to demonstrate foundational space domain awareness capabilities in the cislunar regime,” according to an extremely brief description on AFRL’s website.
The project will be a collaboration between a number of US military branches. The Air Force will work with other organizations and contractors to develop the CHPS satellite, while the US Space Command will figure out how to best make use of it...

Which will never happen. The energy needed to move massive necessary resources to make life even viable will make this impossible.
When we did go, we were the equivalent of an overnight bag with only bare necessities. And that was only for a couple of days.
What makes it feasible to leave a wholly habitable environment for an environment which won't support 3 seconds of life?
This has Jack to do with the moon. This all about persistent aerial surveillance to be used on Americans. First it was Cessnas, Drones, and now satellites. Skynet complete.
The Russians are experiencing some of that right now. In space, the earth holds few secrets.
Having a satellite around the Moon makes it much, much harder to destroy.
Lots of anti-satellite weapons for low earth orbit exist now.

Cislunar... vs Translunar?
This is needed. On Coast to Coast AM several years ago a guest told the audience how aliens were building bases on the side of the moon not facing the earth. They are preparing for invasion, meaning all earth creatures must perish. Honestly, this was on the radio, it must be true.
