A different perspective for you:

Democracy was under attack in Ukraine since 2014 when anti-Russian Western Ukrainians overthrew the rightly elected President, Yanukovych. This is just a continuation of 7 years of anti-democratic actions, which were started by the Western Ukrainian people. The ethnically Russian Eastern Ukrainians will be home with their Russian brethren soon enough.

“Nope. Ukraine is not part of the Russian wor”

Of course that is correct. But Putin says/thinks Ukraine is part of the Russian World. Never was its own country, etc.

I will admit to being somewhat in the dark as to all of the things that have been attempted to correct the injustices done on the Ukrainian people. I would love someone to explain why the UN or some other method that doesn’t involve invasion wasn’t used. My only explanation is that A) the UN is useless, and B) they may have brought it to the UN and it was never reported my the media.

I don't give a shit about either country, or any of Europe at this point in my life. I was born in 1947, and grew up hearing about The Iron Curtain, as well as the threat of nuclear devastation my whole childhood. Then the Berlin Wall went up, and in 1963, it was the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Clintons and the Biden's have made a lot of money from both countries, and China as well, as I'm sure plenty of other Democrats, and Republicans have done for many years.

Our Republic is dying, and for me, that is far more important than what's going on between these two countries. All we've ever heard is that the U.S. should be more like Europe, well f*ck that. And now we have another manufactured crisis to take our minds off two years of lies being fed to us about Covid. Millions of taxpayer dollars that will never be accounted for, will be sent to Ukraine so they can fight Russia, while we pay Russia millions for their oil. When a foreign country's border security is more important than the border security of your own country, and when Republicans vote to support all of this, then it's time to admit that America is headed for the trash heap of history. Republicans are part of the ongoing problem.

My Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (22nd NY District) voted for House Resolution 956, in support of aid to Ukraine. I called her office this morning, and spoke to a young man. I advised him that I was extremely disappointed with her vote, and gave him my reasons why. I also told him why, after January 6, 2021, I am no longer a registered Republican, and will not be voting in any future elections. I'm done with these fools, and will no longer compromise my values by holding my nose and voting for the better of two evils. Those days are gone.

I suppose it boils down to who gets to decide these things, was Hawaii a part of the American world, before we decided to overthrow their monarchy? Unfortunately, throughout history "Might Makes Right" still applies.

Why should I believe what local people are saying?

Perhaps because they shoot video that lets you see for yourself what is happening.

Not all Republicans are neo-cons. But I agree with your sentiment that we shouldn’t really care too much about either country.

There is no reason nor justification for violent invasion over the issue.

The US was generally criticized for invading Grenada to kick out the Cubans.

Countries have interests. Sometimes they feel it is necessary to use military force when the alternatives won't yield a satisfactory outcome.

I don’t care about the Russian point of view.

I don’t care about the Ukrainian point of view.

I want us to stay out of this mess.

"Either way, the killing is unforgivable."

The massive amount of killings on the street, and in abortion clinics that goes on in this country is unforgivable, but for some reason, politicians from both sides don't have a problem with it. The phonies only seem to notice it when it occurs in other countries, because they can use that to their political advantage.

We’ve seen videos supposedly shot from Ukrainians of men hugging their wives as they headed off to war but it turned out to be psyop and agit prop from War of the Chimeras (2017). And there are other examples.

I agree with you…but without understanding and articulating the Russian perspective the gaslighters in the media will win the day and drag us into war to defeat the “ evil” Putin.

Democrats hate Putin because he “stole” the election from Hillary.

They really want to go to war to “Get Trump”, it has nothing to do with the Ukrainians, they couldn’t care less about them, they are just a means to an end.

Have you seen the news reports of the “journalist” asking Boris Johnson some questions concerning this war and then getting all emotional and making pleas? Turns out she is an agitator working with the WEF.

They don't have to be neo-cons, just stupid, which plenty of them are.

None of which I ever watch except when forced to see CNN on an airport monitor.

Do you really think Gateway Pundit is a totally reliable news source?

Would that be something like the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, or the hoaxes about Charlottesville, or the fake news about what really happened on January 6th, or just about anything reported on CNN or MSNBC, or said by Jen Psaki?
